Iāve never written a review before. I am now. Have stayed here for years and loved it. After new management, itās dishonest, exploitative, and not at all family friendly. I called before booking to verify amenities were same; they lied. No beach items, despite advertised. Complimentary wine bar is now $20 a glass. Complimentary coffee in lobby is now $7 a cup..of terrible black coffee. Coffee maker in room is now instant coffee. I was told the pool is 86 degrees. Itās ice cold and the hot tub looks like it hasnāt been cleaned in a year. The ac and plumbing have always been old and extremely loud. Same now, but it seems they renovated wall tiles and not this. Toilet had issues first day. Ac wakes us up all night. Homeless camped out near hotel door. Called for manager for two days. Staff said heād call me but never did. Cold water in shower last day and bathroom smelled like sewage. Asked for receipt to be emailed to me; never received, despite calling twice and asking they resend it.
Great reviews of recent look like they were written by tour guides in area. Probably paid. Do NOT stay here!

This hotel made me to avoid booking at franchise hotels.
The vibe is extremely positive , they welcome you with glasses of wine. Decor is very spiritual and woodsy.
The view is phenomenal . You hear the ocean waves overnight.
No charge for parking , whether before you stay or even after. After we checked out they asked us to not leave it overnight.
The furniture was new and again very nice and woodsy .

My wife and I recently stayed at Casa Loma Beach Hotel in Laguna Beach for our anniversary, and we couldnāt have chosen a better spot to celebrate! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family with their warm and welcoming demeanor. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, which set the tone for our entire stay.
The rooms were immaculateāclean, comfortable, and well-priced for such a prime location. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and the stunning ocean views. The atmosphere was nothing short of incredible. This hotel is right on the edge of the beach, offering breathtaking views and the perfect spot to unwind and relax.
Our stay here truly made our anniversary special, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. If youāre looking for a charming, beachfront hotel with outstanding service, Casa Loma Beach Hotel is the place to be. Highly recommend!
Still doing construction, electricity flickered constantly if the lights worked at all. The TV worked part time. Was told they had a new computer system so took over 30 minutes to get checked out. Was told they would email receipt as they didnāt have a printer. Never received it in the email. Found out later they do actually have a printer and had to go back and ask for a printed copy. The people who cleaned rooms did an excellent job. Seemed to be the only ones their that knew how to do their job. Would not recommend this place. The price was ridiculous and service was awful.
Where to start?ā¦ this place was a life saver! Every detail was perfection! I booked a different hotel on the beach down from Casa Loma and it was a total disasterā¦ I found Casa Loma last minute and spoke to Rob who secured a room for us. I didnt know what to expect as the previous hotel also said ānewly renovatedā and it was terrible. When we arrived to check in, Rob was so accommodating and even had a glass of wine waiting for me when I walked in. As for the hotel itself, it was more than I expected. The most beautiful remodel with charm and a modern organic vibe. The room was so clean! Every detail was covered when they did the renovation, from extra comfortable bedding, high quality New Zealand water in the refrigerator to the organic tea and coffee that was in the room. Every day they served hot coffee and tea in the lobby, which was displayed so perfectly with a clean and uniform setup, followed by a complementary wine happy hour at 6 pm daily. They also served cookies and milk every day, which my 16-year old son took full advantage of. š The layout of the hotel was so cute and right on the beach. A quick walk down the stairs and youāre right on the beach. The rooftop terrace is soooooo cute! We brought our dogs (oh, yeahā¦ and itās dog friendly!) and a glass of wine to the rooftop terrace for beautiful beach views. Every one of the staff members were so nice and accommodating. Rob and Judy, especially! They even gave us chairs, towels and toys to take to the beach. We didnāt get a chance to go to the pool as it was so nice on the beach but it looked great. Next time. I am definitely coming back and will stay here again and again. Location was great for restaurants, shopping and night life. The remodel on this place is amazing. A must stay for sure!
