This closet was my dream for years. Now it is just a constant disappointment.
I think I need to befriend service people because I believe that I will see them very often.
01/28/2024 initial consultation (large walk in closet)
2/22 contract signed for significant amount of $
4/24 two days installation
During the installation:
1. Several damaged doors
2. Mirrored doors were drilled when they were not supposed to. (Then I was not able to open them for 2 months because they did not have handles)
3. Forgot tie rack
4. Forgot dividers
5. Installed wrong glass shelves (green not white!!!)
June 21 came back to replace glass shelves, mirrored doors and other items. One door came back damaged again.
July 31 came back to replace the door the 3rd time. Arrived damaged again. I wanted to discuss other options, possibly ordering other door type, but they just ordered replacement without consulting with me. Scheduled to replace 4th time in September!!!
End of July: Another glass door fell apart!!!
August: lock on the large push to open door fell off creating an ugly hole on the door. It was glued with a drop of glue that supposed to carry the weight of the huge door!
We are into month six of installation. Dividers in the drawers are wobbling around. I have three large unusable doors. One of them is ready to collapse on me. One I can’t even close and I will need to wait months to fix them.
This was the 3rd time I’ve had California Closets do work in my home. I am thrilled with the final project. The designer included everything I wanted in a unit that combines shelving, storage space and elements of an office space: file cabinet, desk, and printer.
We had the pleasure of using California Closets for a built in Media Center. We worked with Anthony, who was very patient with us and our many questions, and helped us through the process. He made everything easy for us to understand as well. Once we settled on a design, it was very straightforward to schedule the installation, which happened very smoothly. The installers were also great, and done ahead of time. The whole cost of the project was also very reasonable, and we would use them again in a heartbeat.
This is my second project with California Closets and their service, quality, and overall experience has been stellar both times. Laura was very helpful throughout the design process and Santiago was focused on detail and kept the installation on track each day. Would highly recommend CA Closets and will use them again!
Great experience all around. Beautiful end product and extremely responsive and excellent work the whole way through in managing the design through production of all we had to do. We had two walk in closets and two built ins done as part of our broader remodel. Very happy with entire experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking to revamp their space
