Lived here for two years until moving out recently — decently sized apartments and rooms. Each bedroom is master sized with a bathroom. Gas, water and trash are paid for. The apartment complex itself is outdated but probably the best quality you will find around here especially as a student. They just added security cameras a few months ago. The only reason I chose to live here was because I didn’t want to drive to school and my rent used to be set at a lower rate of $770/month for a single + bathroom. Otherwise, it’s not worth the money cause they increase rent by a lot for each additional person added to the apartment.
The complex gives out MORE parking passes than AVAILABLE SPOTS. So basically you are never guaranteed parking and since nobody wants to lose their only spot on California Blvd, barely anybody leaves the complex with their car. When you move your car, people will literally go outside and move their car from the street into the complex. Also, people will block you in if you park on the side lot…and then harass you leaving notes on your car or calling your phone. This is the WORST! Seriously it isn’t worth it to be this close to campus if you can’t be guaranteed parking for an apartment you pay thousands of dollars for! I am appalled that this issue has been ongoing for several years. I don’t know of any complex that refuses to take responsibility of their own tenants and parking issues. Instead they just choose to let tenants go battle royale on each other for a parking spot, leaving those without one with a parking ticket because you are forced to park in a faraway city-pass-requiring neighborhood 0.5 miles away from home if you cant land a spot on California Blvd (which barely happens because you share the entire street with literally thousands of people). The only thing the landlords will do is tell the manager to send you a long email scolding you about what you should and should not be doing (yet simultaneously taking no action on their end).
