I used to eat lunch here 20 years ago. All these years, it was the best burger I had ever had in a restaurant. I got an opportunity to return, and I was so happy to find that nothing had changed.
The food is everything I remembered and hoped for. We had Shannon for our waitress and she was wonderful.
Excellent. Worth the wait!
This would make my second time going here and my boyfriendâs 1st. Sad to say this time I was truly disappointed and for his first time he was as well. First off they had a Tuesday Special which consist of Hamburger Steak,Mashed Potatoes, and greens and in my opinion that sounded great for a Tuesday evening. Well I was told that they were out of mash potatoes and that I could substitute. I was fine with that but what I wasnât fine with was being given a Hamburger steak that had been sitting 10-15min prior to my whole order being given. The chicken sandwich my boyfriendâs ordered was dry but everything put together was ok so I guess thatâs something. I received 2 plates that looked nothing of a southern cooked meal that I would serve to someone if I were in that position. The only thing that was truly complemented was the fries. Overall I am dissatisfied and very disappointed that this is my boyfriendâs first experience and that the food overall just wasnât that great. Oh and not once did we see anyone at the front sanitize or wash their hands.
We love eating at Butch Cassidyâs. The food is tremendous. The Butch Burger is as advertised, maybe the best in the area. All the sides are great. Iâve had fried crab claws and shrimp that were fantastic. Everything my guests have eaten was always good. I know that because they told me or, most likely, I tried something off their plate. The dining area is tight and the parking is horrendous. Those are the only real negatives I can post. Service is never a problem and the staff is always friendly.
Very cool place, great service and the food was good. Google sent me an article that listed this place as having the best cheeseburger in Alabama. Itâs a good burger, but not the best.
It is a well worth a visit, has a nice variety of menu selections, and a special for each day. The building is interesting with a ton of its namesakeâs pictures. So if youâre in town and want a good burger, by all means, stop in and enjoy.
If youâve read my reviews, youâd know I love my burgers and sample them fairly often. The author of that article needs to try a lot more places before proclaiming a best in print.
This burger is good and has a good mix of condiments. But the meat was lacking flavor and the bun was just bit excessive for me, somewhat overpowering the burger.
My brother loved his onion rings and they looked impressive. Their famous burger and a side was $14, others were less, and the special was $12.
Cafe didnât live up to expectations of National reviews I had read stating âBest Hamburger in State of Alabama â. Ordered the Wild West burger medium well and as you can see in the picture, the burger was just warm and kind of dry, not even moist. Cafe wasnât very busy. Our party had stopped by after attending Senior Bowl practice at University of South Alabama. I liked the brioche bun but the Hamburger could have been a lot better. If we didnât have a 3 hour drive ahead of us to get home Iâd return the hamburger to be re-cooked.
