Our family of five had an absolute amazing time! Staff were over the top, friendly and helpful. The facilities were immaculate. The lazy river was just perfect. Enjoyed getting to know some of the fellow campers. We will certainly be back from Tennessee!
This is a beautiful class A and Super C only resort. The beach is a short walk away and the beautiful Gulf Coast State Park is a short drive. The resort has very nice amenities and was peaceful while we were here for Mother’s Day weekend.
We stayed at this resort around 3 years ago in our new Thor ACE motorcoach. When we booked our reservation, they informed us that our rig, at 32 feet, was “technically” too short for this “exclusive” resort, however we were told that they would “accept” us because of the year model, lol.
So, we get to the “resort”, and discovered that the beach is around a 15 minute hike down the road, and the facility offered no shuttle to the beach. Wow. People here must really like swimming in a pool. We have a Registered service dog, but Jimmy the scar butted roid rage security guard doesn’t know about ADA details. I was conducting a live radio show via phone when he came over and started harassing us about our dog that was cleaner than the little kids who were whizzing in the pool. So, we left.
We did get to hear the employees making FUN of a couple who had a brand new Thor Axis, which is a smaller Class A, and the owners of the rig later told us that they were being discriminated against and harassed for having a motor home that was not as “blingy” as the others there.
It’s a douche fest at this place. The only decent human we encountered was a sweet lady who was working the office in exchange for letting her park at the facility. I can only imagine the stories that lady has after a year or even just a summer at this pompous, pretentious, and terribly located place. It’s DEFINITELY “Much to do about nothing”.
This was our first stay at the resort and we were running a little late arriving. The staff member on duty called to check on us and then waited 30 min after her shift to escort us to our site, which was so much appreciated. Everyone on the staff was kind, courteous, and welcoming. The resort was immaculate. The lazy river was relaxing and also fun with the kids. The staff hosted a themed dinner at the pool which was great! The beach access was clean and spacious. You have so much room on the beach without the crowds of surrounding area. We can’t wait to come back and stay again next fall.
BV did not disappoint during our 4 day stay. Our site (#2) was easy to find and parking our 37’ RV and 27’ trailer was easy. The outdoor kitchen was fun to have during the cool December days. We loved the layout so much we’re considering changing our outdoor kitchen plans at home. There is private beach access just a short drive or walk from the main entrance (suggest 4 wheel drive). Traffic while we were there (early December) was pretty non existent. Restaurants were not crushed with people so no waits and staff was attentive. We have decided this was our favorite beach vacation. Especially since the beach had less than 10 people each day. BV staff were friendly, helpful and answered all my crazy questions. The property is clean and safe and we’re looking forward to another visit.
