We came to spend a three day vacation and should have chosen another hotel. Not only was there two clumps of hair in the bathtub one in the bathtub and one on the shower curtain, but the bottom of the tub had been repaired and it was like a broken water balloon I almost fell over as I turned around. The guy at the front desk was less than kind or polite as my daughter’s and I came to get a snack he said it was closed even though it was still open and he locked the door behind us he said he could not charge a snack to our room account. The rum had an odor and it was very damp. The breakfast was yummy. We checked out that morning and went to stay at the La Quinta up the road. I was very disappointed!
Also, the parking was a disaster. I wish I had checked out after seeing the room. The door was not even secure. There was open a gap under the door. Maybe if you are a man, you are okay with that but if you’re a woman traveling with small children you’re not going to feel very secure in this place.
The front desk manager was very kind and apologetic, but she did not offer us our money back or a discount in any way
Pool area 👎🏽 Under construction. The rooms don’t look as on line, maybe that was 1 new room that got remodeled. The bathrooms are questionable. This hotel is an older building. We stayed here for the air show the location was good. Breakfast was not good. Limited to none dairy free options.
Horrible! I would NEVER recommend this place. We Walked into our room and there was a musty smell that was so overwhelming. I have asthma and instantly I had difficulty breathing and had to leave the room. We could not stay in the room. When I went to the front desk, they did not care. We had to leave and pay for another place to stay for the night. The hotel refused to refund us knowing it was not ok for me to stay. I understand they have policies about No refunds but what about the health of the guests! The last thing we wanted to do at the end of a long day of traveling was find another place to stay and pay for another room somewhere else!
They really need biohazard signs on the doors. The caulk around the tub and toilet is old and has mold on it. There was a leak coming from the toilet which I didn’t notice until my last day. I was wondering why it smelled bad in there sometimes, and it was because of a sewage leak. I had to put towels down. I feed bad for whoever is going to pick those up. Oh, and the toilet clogged once for about 10 seconds. That was not a fun 10 seconds.
The rooms are old and worn down. There are stains on the walls and carpet, as well as physical damage. Not all of the power outlets in my room were working. The carpet is also quite dirty. I know I can’t expect perfectly clean floors in a hotel, but the soles of my feet turned brown after being in the room for a couple hours. I had to rinse my feet in the tub occasionally. Never had to do that before. Breakfast this morning was also strange. There were cubed potatoes but they were sitting in a pool of their own liquid. Looked gross. Why didn’t the workers drain them?
This is, sadly, the only 1-star review that I ever had to write for a hotel. Please turn away and never look back at this place. Please spend the extra money for a better hotel in a better location. Please.
Edit: The owner below claims that “this is not what people usually say about our hotel.” And yet there are other reviews about the mold and toilet leaks. These issues have been ongoing and they have no intention of fixing them.
We recently stayed at BW Hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Upon arrival, the front desk staff informed us that she was the only one on duty as everyone else had left early afternoon. When we requested an extra set of blanket/bedding, she simply denied without showing any attempt/initiative to figure out way to help.
The room itself had a strange, unpleasant smell and felt damp. Additionally, the bathroom door did not fully close, and the bathtub had several patches where the surface had peeled off, which was quite off-putting.
Overall, the lack of staff support and the poor condition of the room made for a disappointing stay. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the experience for future guests.
