1) The bathroom had no safety guide rails. Not one. My companion has several physical issues that prevented him from using the shower; there was a great fear of falling since there was nothing to hold onto while showering.
2) Little black flying insects were consistently in the room. I killed one and blood came out of the body. Human blood? I assume the bugs were biting us, but this is a guess. More annoying was their presence.
3) Guests did not open and close their room doors—they were banged (make that BANGED) closed. I thought the noise, which woke me many times, was made by employees opening and closing their supply closet doors. But since the slamming occurred most often between 6 p.m. and 11 p..m, employees left for the day and I put the blame on customers. These actions are, by far, my greatest compliment.
4) When I checked out, I was charged $1199.77, but the bill states a $100 refund. I never received the refund, and reported this issue to my credit card.
This was a nice place to stay. The room was comfortable. The pool area was very nice, and I LOVE that they have breakfast out there. The breakfast is tasty. Nice jacuzzi, but I didn’t love that there is a security light baring down on you while sitting in there after dark… it takes away the ambiance. Location next to the mountains is stellar.
It was an overpriced motel. Very dated and felt dirty. When I had searched for place to stay for a sports tournament it came up as a 3 start hotel and the pictures looked relatively ok. Didn’t have any problems during our 2 night stay so I can’t say much about the service other than check in and check out was fine. It’s fine if you’re on a tight budget.
Arrived at Palm Springs chose Best Western Inn. Room was clean,nice shower and bathroom,comfortable. Thank you to the African American gentleman who assisted us Thursday at 1230pm. Very helpful. Overall stay was great. Breakfast served outside and waitress is very efficient and polite. Plenty of choices,eggs,sausage,waffles,cereal hot and cold,bread and bagels,may condiments,cream cheese,butter,peanut butter, jelly,hot chocolate,coffee,tea,assorted juices,yogurt,fresh fruit and muffins. Cleaning staff very cordial as well as front desk associates. Associate who worked Friday around 500pm at front desk very hospitable. Offered bottles of water to us,excellent service. Pool lovely with relaxing hot tub. Thanks for making our visit to Palm Springs comfortable.
Rooms are small but comfortable, and I like how quiet it has been so far and has nice views of the horizon. Located near mountain, and very low traffic. The 24/7 pool is small but proportional to population of the hotel. Also has a Jacuzzi which is always a plus! Overall economical and perfect for a relaxing stay. Also the housekeepers have been extremely nice.
