Our shower had a worsening leak. After several trips to Home Depot looking for parts with no luck due to the age of our shower. We gave and called a professional. I was surprised to see the technician Orlando on our door step within an hour on a Sunday.
He didn’t have the parts needed to fix the old valve and recommended a full replacement. He gave a reasonable estimate and made an appointment to return in the morning between 9 and 10. He arrived on time. With everything he needed. He was done in a few hours. Orlando did a professional job and left no mess for us to clean up.
Orlando had a great personality was very knowledgeable and explained the whole process in very clean terms.

Corey was awesome with great attention to detail. He came out and solved my toilet issues quickly and for a good price. I would definitely use again. They were very responsive and quick to come out!
Corey was amazing! I’ve used Barker and sons multiple times in the past and I always get the best plumbers. They are all so kind, courteous and they always educate me on my plumbing system. I had an issue with my toilet and water heater that were solved efficiently and lower than competitors price. Would recommend Corey and Barker and Sons for any plumbing needs!
Barker and Sons made a difficult situation less difficult. Our home experienced water damage and it turned out to need a full repiping of the house. The old copper pipes had to go to ensure that no more leaks would happen in the future. We called other plumbers but Barker and Sons stood out amongst the rest. They are professional, prompt, and kept in communication frequently.
James was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very polite and insisted on putting on shoe coverings even when I told him he didn’t have too. From day one to day end, he walked my wife and I through the process and explained what would happen and when so that we could lower our anxiety.
Some cool things James did for us:
– James was able to keep our water heater operating while mold in the walls were being treated and fans were drying out the salvageable wood. He did this by pulling it further from the wall and extending the piping so we never lost hot water.
– He also took the time to answer all my questions about plumbing and plex piping. I told him the translucent plastic looks weak but he showed me just how sturdy it was and what makes this material ideal for plumbing a house. (The video cuts off at 30 seconds but I tried to include James’ lesson in this review)
– Lastly, James made sure to keep the house as tidy as possible. He put up large plastic sheets so that the dust would be contained to a certain area. He also mapped out the piping in our home and made as few holes as possible. This made more work for him because he could have just cut the whole wall open and do what he needed must faster. After everything was done, he brought a swifter wet jet from his own house and cleaned our floors. It was not necessary, but again, he insisted.
If you need plumbing issues resolved, I would highly recommend calling Barker and Sons. They have wonderful customer service and make you feel like you matter. They have won a customer for life in me and I hope this review helps them gain more.
Jason K was such a great tech. He fixed our bad fixtures and pointed out some other unsafe conditions, including a bad electrical outlet, and he referred us to a reputable electrician. He wrapped it all up in a day and we are thrilled. He also was just super nice and patient. Also this company is really good and responsive on the phones and with appointments.
