America’s Thrift Stores & Donation Center – Home Appliances in Alabama

America’s Thrift Stores & Donation Center is a charitable organization that accepts donations of gently used goods, clothing, and household items from the public. These donations are then sold at various affiliated thrift stores throughout the country, with proceeds going towards supporting America’s educational, cultural, medical, and veterans’ programs. The stores offer a wide range of affordable products, helping to revitalize community space while promoting sustainability through recycling and reusing items. Additionally, America’s Thrift Stores & Donation Center often runs various fundraising events that allow individuals and families to participate in their mission of supporting the community and contributing to worthy causes through the power of secondhand shopping.

  1. They have some nice stuff and a lot to look at, but I think they forget that ninety percent of it is used. Some of the prices are a bit ridiculous. When you can buy the same thing brand new at Walmart for the same price or even less sometimes.

  2. I used to thrift here not too long after it opened & the staff & prices were great but since then they’ve hired some very rude staff and the prices have sky rocketed. The stockers are far from courteous while you’re shopping and some cashiers complain while checking me out. The prices are ridiculous, some Levi jeans are going for $18 a pair!! If you’re looking for deals, this is not the place.

  3. This place charges $5 for a small painting with 2 holes in it. I asked for a discount and was denied by Trenesha the trifling supervisor. I’m very disappointed with how greedy thrift stores have become. Kindness is free, and so are the donations they get to stock the shelf’s with .

  4. Love this place a go often. The toy prices are great as well as wall art and furniture. You never know what you will find. The clothing is sometimes priced too high but then I’ve had times where I paid $2.50 for a brand new real leather jacket or $1 for a sweater that would have cost $50 in a dept store- If you shop the discounts and use the rewards program it pays off. The cashiers are usually always super nice and the place is clean.

  5. Their cloths are great but their customer is horrible a lady named Jana was very very rude for no reason. I was buying a bag and a drink and I told her to keep the change and rolled her eyes and guy a rude look and said I don’t need that change but ok and she still guy me the change and was very rude and gave us a rude look on the way out and on our way out we said have a good day and she continued to give us that rude look and did not say have a good day to us back.
