1. Every time I hit up Amazon Fresh in Tustin around lunch, it’s like they’re playing hide and seek with their sandwiches. Out of my three tries, I’ve only scored once. That sandwich? Greasier than a slip ‘n slide at a summer BBQ.

   Last time I was there, they told me I’d have to wait 30 minutes for the next batch. Like, are they growing the ingredients in the back or what? They’re definitely missing out on making some easy money by not having these ready to go.

   In short, if you’re looking for a quick sandwich grab, you might want to pack a snack instead or go elsewhere. Or, you know, just brace yourself for a greasy surprise if you do get lucky

2. High tech, once you figure out how to work the carts pretty cool, helpful staff, variety of fresh produce. 4stars only because item are on the high side.

3. The store definitely offers a new experience to customers with carts being the most interesting feature. These carts have cameras and weight sensors that automatically track items added to them so you avoid cashier altogether. There are plenty of grocery options with good organic selection. There’s also a section for popular amazon.com products. Overall a nice, clean, contemporary grocery store, but price conscious customers may not find high tech shopping experience worth additional cost. Prices are definitely towards the higher end.

4. Today is Sunday, 6/30/2024. I love coming to Amazon Fresh because of their easy checkout system with the Smart Kart. I don’t have to wait in line to get my groceries paid for and checked out. However, I have complaints about the pizza station. I tried to order a pizza today, and the lady was not very nice. She told me they are short-staffed and need to close down the station (not sure when it will reopen). She mentioned she would give me a coupon to use for my next purchase. A manager came out to speak with me, explained the situation, and gave me a coupon that expired the next day. It was clear that they didn’t want to take my order and wanted me to go away. I asked if there was another coupon I could have that would not expire on 7/1. He told me this was all he had and it sounded like he just wanted me to go away. This was not what I agreed upon. I felt humiliated and would not order pizza from Amazon Fresh again because it was so rude and unreasonable.

5. The dash cart is an interesting experience. Super simple if you put in one item at a time. Put in several items at the same time it can get confused. Also, items like produce can cause it to get confused. Very fast and convenient when it works. Can be frustrating and slow when it gets items wrong and you have to fix it. Prices were generally higher here compared to Target or Walmart for the same items but the promo discounts made up for that. Update 3/16/2022… Haven’t been here in a while but I got some $15 off $35 coupons in the mail to bring me back. Got a ton of stuff for $20! The coupon deals are pretty amazing… Update 5/29/22… $20 off $40 coupons makes stuff here a steal but they don’t have as much produce and selection compared to other grocery stores. Decided to try the pizza today for $9.99… got the supreme but should have asked for no olives… Those are way too salty…
