1. Ms. Rose was so helpful. I haven’t done a resume in over 20 years she was so helpful in getting me set up and showing me the key words that employers look for. Ms Deion was extremely helpful courteous told me how to update my resume so that due to my age people don’t overlook me for employment or what I need to get in the key words that a algorithm that doesn’t over look my qualifications or experience.

3. My husband has been doing everything he is supposed to do. He worked in Alabama but we live in Texas he filed for unemployment benefits and they said everything was good to go but is still waiting for payment it’s been three months and they keep giving him the run around. We struggle but by the grace of God we are okay. They don’t want to pay. They lie. And it’s not right!!!!

4. Alabama Career center is a total joke. They do nothing to help people find jobs, their website it hard to navigate. They make people apply for jobs but no one is hiring anyone just going through the motions.

5. Would avoid trying to get anything grant related done here.. They wasted about 2 months of my time. I was trying to be patient with them. I had three appointments in total.. After finally being told a start date to cdl school on my last appointment, I was like okay cool.. BUT a week prior to my start date with school. I called 3 times and left voicemail to confirm everything. I never got called back. So I showed up unannounced. Only to be told “I meant to call a few weeks ago” “ I needed your signature on this paper, so it’ll be another few weeks before you start, I hope that’s ok..” Time is critical with no income coming in…. The whole story is… I got approved for a grant through the state but “funds ran out” BUT then I was eligible for another grant since I lost my job from a shutdown …… I’m just trying to get an essential job during this pandemic. Even right now, I’m nervous she’s going to mess up my paperwork again. A simple phone call when she noticed the mistake would have turned this 1star to 3stars. I can’t blame the process, but I do blame them from the info they withheld. I never even knew I was eligible for another grant until my last appointment. Which I was briefly updated to “ They’ll pay u to move if u get a job out of state, bachelors degree,..” I was trying to think for a minute with my options I didn’t have before.. But instead I hear “Can u not make up your mind what u want to do!?” So.. I was pretty much forced to use this at cdl school because at this point it’s like I’m wasting there time.. Like they didn’t even want to tell me.. And I do need a job because months has done went by at this point so I told them to file it.. Would have been 4 stars if they actually cared. But I understand. A job is a job and everyone makes mistakes. I just think people in these positions should have little more sympathy, and actually want to educate people on their options..
