A year ago, this rating would have been different as we have purchased 3 appliances from here. We purchased a fridge at the end of March and within 2 weeks of installation, a leak occurred and damaged our hardwood floors. I was told at the time of purchase that if the water connection was behind the fridge, the delivery team installers would be liable, if it wasn’t — we would be. It has now been 3.5 months and we still have not settled the issue. There is a subcontractor who schedules and subcontracts the delivery and no one wants to take responsibility except blame us for it being a part of the original house. Except previous delivery drivers required us to upgrade a part on the house before installing a dishwasher. After the fridge was installed, then we’re told well a new fridge will have more water pressure — so we should have been told that and required to change the part before installing (hoping that it fit right).
It took a month for them to actually file the claim with the insurance company and the delivery driver personally kept contacting me to handle off the books because they don’t want to pay the full amount that was quoted by a professional contractor. Now, it has been 2 months since the claim was filed and they are still investigating though there is no more information to gather. I called the manager of Airport home appliance and she never responded. The owner of the subcontracting schedulers initially was responsive and helpful but has disappeared now that it’s in the hands of insurance.
We, as the consumer, have no advocate to help navigate all the different parties to actually get a decision made and responsibility taken. Insurance, of course, doesn’t want to pay out. We will never buy from here again.
Unprofessional, and unreliable.
We purchased a new refrigerator 2 months ago and our condenser broke.
(ON A NEW REFRIGERATOR)
Airport Home Appliance has been running around in circles not addressing our issue, even with our additional 5 year warranty purchased through them.
We have been without a refrigerator since July 1st.
A technician did not come out until July 17th.
Our issue (broken condenser on a new refrigerator) is still not resolved.
I really do not know where all of these 5 star reviews come from.
All of their reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star, no in between.
Think about that before you purchase from here.
Please save yourself a headache and do not come here for an appliance
Lilian Tu is an excellent appliance consultant. Very knowledgeable, answered all questions we had & provided feedback/options. She made it easy for us. She returns emails/calls very promptly. Would highly recommend Airport Home Appliance & ask Lilian t be your consultant.
We needed a Refrigerator ASAP and though we might have purchased it from a Big Box store the finish we wanted was not in stock. It was a good thing because Airport came in with a cheaper price and we got it the next day. Though it was not the full experience because we did not come in not knowing what we wanted, Lilian was a pleasure to work with and the sale went smoothly. Delivery was good with care taken removing the old refrigerator and placing the new one. One small nit is that I forgot about the leveling feet adjustment and it would be nice if that was a standard part of the installation process. I did it myself and when I mentioned it I was offered compensation which I did not expect. We would defiantly return to Airport Home Appliance in the future if we needed any more appliances.
Antoine helped us pick out appliances. He was knowledgeable,easy to work with and not pushy. He didn’t try to push stuff we didn’t need. The inventory is large and lots to see. A very good experience. We’d definitely come back and can recommend this store.
