Had a wonderful experience staying at this boutique hotel. Check in was easy, Alex was friendly and promptly got me in to my bungalow, which was very spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean. Some parts of the bungalow could be updated, but I came here for charm and amazing views and I got that! Bed was super comfortable. The in room air conditioning kept the room very cold despite high temps in the 110s. Pool and hot tub was amazing, and the ambiance at night with the twinkle lights was so fun. I would stay here again.
A Place in the Sun is a wonderful, tranquil get away in the heart of Palm Springs. The rooms are extremely spacious with living room, kitchen, and Bedroom. Elizabeth Taylor, when she built it in 1951, definitely wanted her guest to enjoy their stay. That ambiance is still the same. Be sure to sit poolside early morning and enjoy the serene surroundings while watching the mountain turn orange at first light and the hummingbirds dancing about you. Highly recommended and a great value.
This booking was made hours before our arrival due to a cancelation from our original hotel just that morning. For the life of me I could not figure out how we got so lucky to book an entire bungalow with its own patio and kitchen for $150 LESS than our original hotel.

CONS:
-Everything is a little rundown and janky. Everything.
-Far from downtown and the nightlife
-No ice machine or snacks
-Peeling paint and broken doors
-Old furnishings which could be totally cool but were all a little icky and dirty.
I was hoping for a romantic weekend away but ended up at place that just felt like spending the weekend at your divorced dads new apartment. If you’re looking for somewhere cheap and chill and aren’t expecting any luxuries this place is totally fine. I want to be 100% clear this was not a bad stay. I just wanted something a little nicer for a weekend away with the hubby.
We only got to spend one night last time we were in Palm Springs…. It was so good we booked a week when we went back! Such a charming, cozy, clean little bungalow. It’s an absolute bargain compared to other spots nearby, and feels very VIP and personal. It is so quiet and peaceful, and Alex is absolutely the best! I can never praise this place enough, it’s a hidden little Palm Springs gem! I love having a kitchen to make snacks and poolside drinks in, and it is the cleanest place I think I have ever stayed. We can’t wait to go back!
This place is incredible! Super cute kitschy boutique motel that is impeccably clean and cozy. It is just so adorable. I am in love with this hotel. The lawn is so well manicured and green, the beds are SUPER comfortable, and the kitchen is a cute vintage space with everything you could need. I love the pool/jacuzzi in the center with the hammocks and lounge chairs and it is just so quiet and serene here. Alex the gentleman who checked us in was so kind and you can tell he works hard to keep this cozy place in check. This hotel was much more affordable than the other options down the road and we are glad that we opted for here. I will definitely be back as I feel super refreshed and relaxed. This is true Palm Springs and did not disappoint.
