  1. After being a loyal member at this specific Crunch location for eight years, I have decided to cancel my membership due to an incredibly disappointing experience. Recently, I reached out to the general manager to express my valid concerns about the consistent annual increases to my monthly rate–$10 more each year, despite my long-standing loyalty. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the manager responded in a hostile, disrespectful, and condescending manner, making it clear that my loyalty meant nothing to them and that the rate would remain unchanged.

My monthly rate had risen to $70, only for me to discover that new members were being offered prices as low as $30 to $50 a month. Is this how you treat a customer who has been loyal to your establishment for years? Rather than rewarding long-term members, it seems this location is more interested in attracting new members while disregarding the ones who have supported them over time.

During our conversation, the manager repeatedly cut me off, was confrontational, and showed a complete lack of customer service skills. This location desperately needs a manager who can handle customer concerns with professionalism and respect, rather than becoming defensive and hostile.

I will be reaching out to the regional manager at Crunch headquarters to file a complaint against this location and specifically against this manager. Take your business to an establishment that actually values loyalty instead of treating you like garbage. Believe the low reviews–they’re there for a reason.

  2. This gym has been going downhill fast recently. Long time member and they show no loyalty. New signups get a cheap rate while my membership goes up $5/year so I’m closer to $70/month at this point. They used to have amazing plate loaded StarTrac machines and now they have hand me down hammer strength machines from different locations. The men’s sauna used to be amazing but ever since the new manager came in it’s been out of service or barely even warm. Not worth it.

  3. In 3 years my membership has gone from 56ish to 62 now to 72.98. Soon to be equinox price with less than half the square footage of equipment. Place use to be better when I first started here. Price is only a factor when it doesn’t equal the same value as before. I also have a membership for the rest of the other crunch gyms in Socal and a MetroPlex one so its just easy for me to see the value in comparison

  4. I really didn’t want to write this review but I feel like it’s finally time I give my thoughts. For the 2nd half of July the men’s sauna was closed for “misuse of the sauna” when it seemed it was working. For the past week or so the sauna has been on but closed for some reason and it seems this gym is punishing its members for no reason. I was told on Monday July 29th that the sauna was opening on August 1st and I find it strange why they’re waiting till then when every time I past by it the week prior it was on but closed which seems like a waste of time. Come August 1st it’s working and it’s actually hot like it used to be and I have no complaints. Come Friday August 2nd the next day it’s closed again for vandalism

. I really don’t know what’s going on but ever since the management has changed I’ve been noticing the men’s sauna hasn’t been the same as before and has been closed a lot. I really don’t understand what message they’re trying to put by having the men’s sauna while it’s still on but it’s closed for vandalism for the safety of the members.

  5. generally have a good experience here and come here about once a week on classpass. i’m never late but i was late due to an emergency phone call for my “gym time” which is a two hour slot in the open gym. i explained my reasoning, the 30 minute drive to get there and that i only intended to be there for an hour anyway and the front desk still coldly turned me away. i had talked to them about joining on a previous visit as i have just moved to the area recently and was in process of finding the right gym for me via classpass. i definitely understand policy but i’ve been a member at crunch since 2012 in new york. the next time slot on classpass was the same amount of credits, the gym wasn’t busy so i was really upset by this as it just seemed like there was no working with me at all and honestly, he seemed almost happy to turn me away which just left a bad taste in my mouth. definitely won’t be joining nor going to this location again.
