  1. It’s quiet. It’s clean. The pool is nice. I don’t appreciate the fact that the thermostat only goes down till 68. So if you have visitors in your room it’s going to get really stuffy really quickly and uncomfortable. The breakfast bar is sad. They have muffins and croissants w egg and cheese where the cheese is missing. The pancake machine was broken one of the two days we were there and the service is slow and they don’t refill things right away. There is no meat option. Location is great however!

  2. This is a hard one to review because there were some good things, but the bad might have outweighed the good. We checked in around 6:15 pm. Jennifer was working the desk. She informed us the room they had for us didn’t have hot water. The Boiler was down and the part was expected to come in at 3 am. She said they would give us our room, and if we wanted a hot shower we would have to go to an “Out of Order” room for a hot shower. I asked her why we couldn’t have the “Out of Order” room, and she said something in it wasn’t working (like the pullout couch didn’t work). I said that wasn’t an issue for us, but she said we had to take the room they had for us. She said they would waive the cancellation fee if we wanted to cancel and go to another hotel. We were exhausted and just wanted a place to stay. So, we decided to stay. We didn’t want to travel through the hotel for a shower, so we just took cold showers—our choice. However, there was hair on the bathroom floor that was not mine or my husband’s. A glass shelf was close to falling off of the wall. The room size was excellent, and it was very quiet. Breakfast was delicious. Honestly
if it wasn’t for Jennifer’s friendliness I would have rated this an overall 1. She was so friendly and recommended the best Mexican restaurant fairly close to the hotel. I would stay there again and hope for hot water.

  3. Very spacious rooms!! Actually, it is a good value for what I paid. Nice spacious rooms, full size refrigerator. Located near plenty of restaurants & easy access to most of Birmingham.

  4. Great place to stay. Had to book a last-minute 2-night saty due to my previous hotel having bedbugs. I’m pleased to say the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was good. Room came with a small kitchen. The only reason I have 4 stars was because the rooms were a bit dated (popcorn celings/walls, old & damaged doors). I also have to say the beds were uncomfortable, im 25 and woke up with a sore hip😅 But overall everything was clean, and I would recommend this hotel!

  5. There are shantys in South Africa better than this hotel. The mattresses feel like they’re soviet surplus. The internet is almost as good as dial up. The hot water at least works most of the time. The fire alarms go off randomly. Housekeeping comes once a week but it’s always on weekends when you’re in the room. And halfway through my stay they decided to change the lock system which didn’t work at all and when I went to complain about it some high level manager tried talking to me like it was my fault and I’m just too stupid to know how keys work. But most of the staff is very polite.
