Wow! I feel so rested. This is the 9th Motel 6 in the franchise chain. Well kept & clean!Jesse at the front desk was very polite, courteous, and knowledgeable of the area. He recommended the Ruben sandwich at Sherman’s deli a short walk from our poolside room here at MOTEL 6. We’re definitely staying another night. The community was quiet, and people were friendly. Situated at the base of the foothill was a beautiful morning to wake up to. Coffee was ready as promised, too!
“I had a great experience staying at Motel 6 in East Palm Canyon, and a big part of that was thanks to Edgar at the front desk. From the get-go, he was super friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. It’s not often you come across someone who really cares about making guests feel welcome, but Edgar nailed it. He even gave me some great recommendations for places to check out in the area. If you’re looking for a place to stay with awesome service, definitely ask for Edgar—he’s the best!”
I’ve stayed here before, but this place has changed a lot. 1st if all the front desk did a good job in getting me checked in and a good room location. The prob was they said we needed specific towels for the pool, they had none whats so ever all day long. We had to use the towels from the room, they said come back in 30 min, we kept coming back. They had no pool towels and because we used the regular towels for the pool we needed some regular towels to take a shower but they didn’t have any of those all day either. We finally asked around 9:00 P.M. for clean towels, they apparently had just come out and were still in the bin so the front desk just handed me a pile of towels and said here you go; they were not folded just a bike pile of towels. Also none of the rooms have irons, ironing boards and hair dryers, you have to ask the front desk for those things and cross your fingers to see if they have one avail. Also, the rooms do not have Shampoo and conditioner, they’ll send you to the vending machine for that. Lastly, it’s Palm Springs and 125 degrees, both ice makers were not working properly.
The pool area is nice, but there is a lady that apparently stays there long term and although she is extremely friendly (little creepy) she is offering everyone a shot of hard liquor. Unfortunately there are unsavory people there that just seem to stare, not the motels fault but never the less not a good thing.
All I can say is “never again”, pay the extra $50 to stay a nice hotel this one is not worth the hassle.
This motel six is a dump! My room stank of cigarette smoke, and what seem to be piss; turned out it was a very smelly air conditioner. Also, there was a pile of architectural trash right in front of the room, including a toilet and that was my view, I asked the front desk to move it, and they never moved it, I finally dragged the toilet around the corner myself. There were transient hanging out in the open area just around the corner from my room.
We were woken up early one morning by a lady, talking loudly on her speakerphone and smoking a cigarette back-and-forth right in front of the rooms. Someone in another room asked her if she could move because people were trying to sleep and she just scoffed and got angry.
Not safe – Extremely Disappointing Experience – Stay Away!
I recently stayed at the Motel 6 in Palm Springs for two nights, and both nights were absolutely dramatic. The room was dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom was downright disgusting. My friend and I, both grown men, did not feel safe at all during our stay.
Throughout both nights, we heard people screaming and fighting. It was clear that some of the guests were not there for a short stay; it appeared that people were living at the motel, engaging in suspicious activities at all hours. The presence of itinerant individuals around the property only added to the sense of unease.
I’ve stayed at other Motel 6 locations in California, and none have been as bad as this one. This place is not just below standard—it’s a safety hazard. I strongly recommend finding another place to stay.
