  1. The “suite” I got was dated and worn. From other pictures I see others are more contemporary. I feel like I payed a good amount not to be thrown in a more dilapidated room. No restaurant or breakfast service as advertised except for a snack bar style place.
Pool is nice but lots of people sneak in on the weekend.
Views are wonderful from the windows and staff is great and doing what they can to make you happy under the constraint of a once great hotel corp. They are now way behind the times and only cater to businesses to hold events because that’s all they have left to their name basically is a giant conference center.
I just felt baited and switched wanted to enjoy a nice luxurious vacation and basically felt like I was at a motel 6 with a nice lobby. I did major research before booking so a lot of their advertisements don’t reflect the current array of amenities and the situation at hand.

  2. As loyal Marriott fans with elevated membership status, we decided to switch things up this year and try Hyatt, inspired by the exceptional service we experienced at a Hyatt hotel in Hawaii.

The Hyatt Long Beach boasts a fantastic location, providing easy access to shops, outlets, and a variety of restaurants, while the comfortable rooms serve as a cozy retreat after a day of exploring.

Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by slow and impersonal service; the market staff were rude and unhelpful, particularly when I inquired about my avocado toast, which came with runny eggs despite the menu lacking specific cooking details.
While the housekeepers were friendly and attentive, the overall atmosphere did not reflect the warm welcome and exceptional service we had hoped for, making it a mixed experience for our stay.

  3. Really enjoyed our stay! Clean, nice soft towels and robes. The bed and pillows were comfortable. My room had a beautiful view. There are lots of restaurants close by and is easily walkable. Always thankful for a pet friendly hotel! Friendly service as well.

  4. I’m writing this review after three nights at this hotel (2 more to go), and unfortunately, my experience has been subpar. Despite its prime location, the hotel’s service and staff attitude fell short. Upon arrival, my room was dirty – torn bed frame, hair strands on the end table, and stained sofa. When I reported this to the front desk, they surprisingly asked me to define “dirty.” The housekeeping staff seemed unbothered, and the replacement room was similar with dirty curtains and sofa. Toiletries were only provided for one person, despite booking for two. Repeated requests to replenish supplies and clean the room were ignored. The front desk staff’s indifference was alarming.
    – Air conditioning shuts off nightly for 3-4 hours, leaving me sweating- Front desk response: “Can we send a fan?”
As a Hyatt member, I’ve never experienced such poor service. The location is the only redeeming quality. I would not recommend wasting your money on this hotel if you’re seeking a pleasant stay.

    *Rating:* 2.5/ 5 stars

    *Recommendation:* Explore alternative options.

  5. Excellent staff. Everyone was extremely helpful. Rooms and grounds are very clean. Easy walk to the aquarium and other activities. Only complaint was that the beds are pretty hard.
Expect to pay for parking. We paid $45 per night for valet. Self park is 40.
