1 star is 1 too many!!! I can’t seem to get them to help with the redundant referrals that the ipa is doing. Trying to send my husband to an orthopedic doctor who doesn’t specialize in the hip revision surgery he needs. This field is so specialized that there are only 2 in our entire area and 1 is booked 3 months out. The other is out of network and that’s why they want to send him 30 miles away to a KNEE specialist. With a possible femur fracture and a loose hip replacement this is just the worst thing they could try to get away with. Can you imagine how painful this is every day. And they want him to travel in a car for at least an hour. There is so many more things they have done with this issue but it’s very long.
Just know that they only care about money not the patients health.
Oh 1 other thing, they cancelled the approval for the doctor who is booked 3 months out and never told us.
The IPA is just as bad, so I’m trying to figure out how to change plans. They need to live with this pain for 1 day and they would take notice to what they are doing.
Just remember they don’t care!!!
Worst plan to get. A lot of Korean folks get this plan since they provide Korean speaking agents, but this plan is the worst Medicare health you can possibly get. It doesn’t even have radiology service contracted in the bay area California. Do not choose this plan. You will be extremely frustrated.
I switched to this plan 5 years ago from Kaiser. I got tired of paying for dr visits, prescriptions, x-rays, and the rest. I had NO problem with the service at Kaiser, but the costs were a big factor. This is slightly less convenient but for the money saved, it was well worth switching. The benefits are outstanding and I pay almost nothing for everything including prescriptions.
They offer Reimbursement for exercises monthly. But you won’t get reimbursed for all 12 months. It sounds great , but gives you more frustrating.
By the end of the year , you will find out you probably could get 3~ 4 months reimbursed, the rest Of the months will be rejected due to the Receipts not itemized. We have been talking to Central health for las 3 years , some golf shops only provide the Receipt for one time tee time . There is no itemized Receipt. So that’s the excuse for Central Health not paying you back even they have the benefit set up for the members .

Tried to get drug coverage. Got a lot of “no problems” in the beginning. Worked for about 3 months. Now I’m getting late enrollment fees every month and no coverage, it’s like they don’t exist anymore. I get told one thing on the phone and then another from pharmacists and doctors offices. Waste of time and money. It may have been cheaper just to pay out of pocket from the start, at least I wouldn’t have their fees and disappointment of zero service. Feels like a scam.
