We stayed here for one night to attend a concert at the BJCC and it was perfect. Thereās a walk way connecting the hotel to the arena and it was super convenient. Every employee we spoke to was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed on the side closest to the interstate but never heard the traffic thanks to a sound machine that was provided in the junior suite we were in. Would definitely stay here again.
Unless youāre being paid very handsomely, donāt stay anywhere near here. Even then, please reconsider your options. Bottom 3 city Iāve ever visited- and Iāve been to third world countries with more hospitality. To top off my stay here, false alarms went off at 3 in the morning, with no explanation what happened. (Completely clueless night crew tonight?) no overnight manager. Who knows.
To be completely fair, there were a few positive notes:
Front desk staff was very nice at face value with the short interactions I had with them during the day.
Banquet staff/management was easy to work with and very accommodating.
Housekeeping is the saving grace if you can speak Spanish. They will take care of you. Very clean room, and nothing was broken in my room thankfully.
Eugeneās Chicken around the corner is too good of a place for this city. They deserve much better. A true diamond in the rough.
Decent hotel. Rooms are comfortable and look to be recently updated. The fitness center is abysmal. Two treadmills, one that has been broken for months. Cable machine that doesnāt work. For a hotel gym with essentially just those two things, itās one of the worst out there.
The service is subpar as well. Check in desk was friendly and helpful. However, was woken up by the room cleaners attempting to enter my room (repeatedly trying to open my door against the stop) at 8:15 in the morning after getting in past midnight that morning. Knocked again one hour later after telling them no. Really disappointed overall in this property.
Stayed two nights for a venue at the Conference Center. Nice hotel, rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was a good value. Lots of dining options within 100 yards. Read a lot of bad reviews so we were nervous, we didnāt experience anything bad during our stay.
Everything is overpriced. Valet parking is $40 so I walked down a block to park in a parking garage that was still $20. I was charged $10 just to use basic internet for 1 night. And my shower had 2 body wash bottles and no shampoo. The room was fine but nothing to write home about for something considered in Marriottās āpremiumā range
