Really nice restaurant with great waterfront views. Solid seafood meal. The hush puppies, crab cakes, crab dip are standouts! The Seafood platter was delicious and the flavor was in line with many other locales.
We enjoyed our meal here. The waitress we had was lovely. We were 8 people, and she did great. The view is phenomenal, and the atmosphere would have been great, but there was this incessant beeping with the doors opening that really annoyed me. This, it is a wheel chair accessible location and a decent amount of parking nearby.
The food was overall good.
I’ll start with what we didn’t like: the wild rice was not appetizing at all. It was flavorless mush. The cucumber salad is good, but it can be tart for some. The vinegar really makes it tart. The coleslaw is not very tasty. It’s not creamy or anything really, almost dry. The cream of crab soup is not appetizing and was probably right up next to the mushy rice for how bad they were.
What we really enjoyed:
The pineapple teriyaki salmon was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, great flavors and a good size salmon. The swordfish was very good with the sauce on top. Mild but hearty fish. The sauce on top really pulled the dish together. The crab balls were so so good! Great taste and seasoning. Lots of lump crabmeat.
In the sides we enjoyed were the kale crunch salad, green beans, and any of the side salads. And fries weren’t too bad either.
This location shines with the appitizers we had to get multiples of the following: potstickers, haddock bites, and hush puppies. My favorites were the haddock bites. They were soooo well made. Light fluffy and just the right amount of crispy.
All in all good experience and would surely come back.
So my first time here. Great space right on the water. Airy and spacious. Greeters were very nice. My server Amanda was great. Very pleasant and attentive. The cream of crab soup was delicious with ample lump crab. I had the seafood sampler broiled. The crab balls and shrimp were good, but the haddock was overcooked. Still flavorful, but overcooked. Oh, the sides were okay- onion rings were greasy and the hush puppies were dry. Still, a very nice place to visit.
Come here if you are looking for great oysters and service! Had the shrimp tacos and loved the blackened shrimp. Came here twice in one day cause of how good the oysters were! Got both Raw and Deep Fried! Are server I believe his name was Tyler was super nice , inviting and very attentive to us which we greatly appreciated!
This was my first visit. I will definitely return when I’m in the area again.
Have the blackened salmon. It was excellent !
Our server (I’m sorry, I dont recall her name) was very nice and friendly and made sure we were enjoying our dinner. Our food arrived fairly quickly, considering how busy they were. I highly recommend The Pier.
