Place to eat Sunday dinner after church. Able to accommodate large groups.
Food was pretty good. No complaints at all.
My waitress was friendly, attentive and expeditious. The food order was okay, and the portions were sufficient. Not much menu selection and the deer, hog and moose heads on every wall were a little creepy for a āFISH campā. The coleslaw was excellent (I like it sweet like theirs, and this had lots of onions too). I ordered the 5pc. Catfish platter, a fried oyster platter and fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and lemoncello cake (yum!) for dessert. If you donāt like fried foods, you might want to pass on this restaurant. This place was recommended to me by my friend for the catfish dinner.

Seriously, a local and state legend as the finest fish camp restaurant in the state, if not southeast.
Time has taken me far from my ancestral home just south of Lavaca but I make the trip to Ezells whenever fate gets me within reach.
My parents and grandparents enjoyed Ezells as have my children and I hope my grandchildren as well.
Very good catfish as you would expect by the name. Cole slaw very good also. Excellent service. Expect a fish camp setting, not city like. Lol
