Hiden $100 hold after we booked n paid online. The bed was unstable. Can tell the doors wasnât cleaned leaned. Nasty looking mess on the lamp shade. Only 1 bath towel. Nothing really in breakfast area. Only thing nice to say is the dairy queen in front is amazing. They said check outs at 11 but they knocked every hour on the dot after 8am to see if we was there.
My husband and I travel often and usually choose The Red Roof because they are usually clean, affordable, and allow our little doggy for no charge. However, this is by far the worst Red Roof I have ever stayed in!! Beds were hard, lumpy, and very noisy. There was no coffee maker in room and what was at breakfast was barely even warm. Shower head was extremely gross (turning black around the spray settings). TV sound would go up and down on its own. Swimming pool was filled with concrete and very tall weeds around it! This would have been great since it was 97 degrees and photos show nice clean pool and poolside that is extremely misleading. There was beer caps in the floor (we donât drink beer) floors filthy like people spitting on the floor filthy!! Housekeeping came while we were out and literally took one dirty towel and left one towel⌠didnât sweep, dust, mop, make bed nothing!!! We had made reservations for Friday and Saturday, we toughed out both nights just to sleepâŚwe showered at families house we had came to visit!! As much as I choose Red Roof I will never stay in this one again!!
The filter was so dirty I cleaned it the smell was so strong and there was barely any towels so when the cleaning lady knocked on our door at 9:30 I was surprised. She entered our room with out my permission and then left the door open a little when she left. I went to bring my husband something he had asked for while showering and when I turned my baby was gone I ran straight out side to find the same cleaning lady just staring at my baby and then she looked at me and started laughing at me because her boyfriend asked me if this was my baby because he works here and how I should watch my baby better.. Iâm still in shock because I almost lost my baby and sheâs still just laughing thinking itâs a big joke .. I have never been treated like this at a red roof inn so I canât let this keep me from being a customer anymore. I wonât be back to this one though!!!
The bed could have been more firm. The air could have been colder. The microwave and fridge both worked. We didnât try to use the TV so IDK if it was working or not. The shower was hot with pretty good pressure. It was a little noisy over night but nothing crazy. All in all, not a bad place to stay while traveling.
We chose this location as a rest stop on our way to Panama City Beach, arriving around 2:30 AM. Due to our late arrival, we did not thoroughly inspect the room initially.
Positives:
â˘The air conditioning worked well.
â˘The check-in process was smooth and straightforward.
Negatives:
â˘The pillows were hard, leading to a sore neck.
â˘Upon waking, I noticed a trash bin placed on top of the clothing rack, full of trash that wasnât ours, alongside a plate with trash and a Sprite can.
â˘The sink and shower contained hair.
â˘The light switch appeared to have never been cleaned.
Based on these observations, I would not choose to stay here again.
