River House is the perfect location for anything from a date to hosting a large event. If youâre looking for a cozy booth tucked away, youâve got it. If you prefer a more open feel with high tops and flat screens ( sports fans will be more than pleased), theyâve got you covered . When you enter youâre immediately greeted by the cozy yet swanky interior, with their nostalgic spinning door entry, and velvet couches in the waiting area. The updates the new owners have done have kept the original charm while adding some modern upgrades keeping the place clean and fresh.
If youâre anything like us, itâs a struggle finding a restaurant where everyone in the family can find multiple menu items they enjoy. River House offers such a broad and incredible menu, there is literally something for everyone. Add in the incredible daily and weekend specials, and youâll always have something new to try.
If you are a dessert lover you came to the right place. They have an ever changing menu of incredible cakes, cheesecakes, tiramisu, cannolis, etc. đ° which can be browsed from a massive glass case.
We have always had wonderful service, although we are partial to our favorite waitress, Lindsay. If youâre dinning in keep a look out for one of the 3 owners, as they usually will be popping by tables to say hello.
River House is a staple to the Charleroi community with a constant aray of events and local fundraisers- proving theyâre not just about good food, but also about good karma.

I work in the area so we always have our happy hours or grab lunch from River House Cafe. Never been disappointed! Friendly staff and the food is good. Their pizza buffet is legit and today I tried their wings. Cooked to perfection and the sauce we on point. Crab cake sandwich wasnât bad either. If you order the sweet potato fries they will come with a little side of maple syrup dip. Nice touch. See you guys soon.
Had a family dinner/birthday celebration for my dadâs 80th. When we first walked in we were greeted and seated and I immediately had a good feeling that our server, Tray, would be excellent and he definitely was! The food was very good and Tray was very attentive throughout our meal. Will definitely be back!
Had to have to go boxes. Poutine fries, Buffalo chicken wings and walnut salad with salmon. Portions were large and food was flavorful. Service was excellent as always. Their dessert selection is fantastic.
Had a birthday dinner. Arrived at 5. Got served 45 minutes later.đ€š. Food was hot and and not like I or we rememberd. I live in Charleroi and more than likely will not be back in the future. âïžđ€š
