Breakfast steak was the nastiest tasting meat I’ve ever put in my mouth. Not the cooks fault. No seasoning in the world could have made that fit for human consumption. The restaurant owner needs to supply a better choice of meat. The eggs, mushroom,spinach and biscuits were very good. The waitress was very good and sweet. I gave them 4 stars because they brought me bacon ( it was ok, not great) and did not charge for me for the steak or bacon. It’s a nice restaurant. The manager/ owner just needs buy better meat.
Lovely place to have breakfast in Montgomery. Wait to be seated. Waitresses are very friendly. Our was Saniya and she was so nice. She came over several times to check whether everything was ok. My husband ordered The Manhattan with English muffin and I had the Alabama breakfast with cheesy grits. Highlights was for the Manhattan was its cream cheese mixed with pesto and for the Alabama breakfast its biscuit. It was so soft and moist. Delish. Definitely worth the visit, even though there was bit of a confusion about finding the entrance (through the hotel door, to the left of the reception desk) and opening hours (not 24h!!!), but 6.30am-10.30pm during the week and 7am-2pm during the weekend.
Service was amazing, but the entrance was a little hard to find.
We had brunch, and it was excellently portioned and well seasoned. The biscuits were a little underdone, and the steak was perfectly cooked and probably the best brunch steak I’ve ever had.
A quiet, nice difference from a Normal brunch place. Great to sit and enjoy a coffee.
Last minute reservation with over 22 of my colleagues and they accommodated all guest. Shootout to Emily for her professionalism getting us seated and fed. The food was great. The Brown Butter Barbecue Shrimp where amazing. I had the Gulf Seafood Risotto for and entree. The restaurant is located in the Hotel Trilogy. The hotel looks amazing. Very contemporary boutique hotel. I can’t wait to come back.
My intent of this review is hopefully seen as constructive and not destructive. My previous review WAS 5 stars-Based on my first visit, but AFTER 6 total visits UPDATE:
The place is overall just unorganized, dirty, and chaotic for a restaurant with just 12-14 tables.
Points of contention:
-having to pour my own coffee
-8 of the 12 tables never fully cleaned my entire meal
-servers discussing tips NOT left by previous customers
-customers walking in had to stand awkwardly beside us while manager cleaned table for them
-haphazard management and servers
*Manager did recognize shortcomings and offered a complimentary mimosa.
TAKEAWAY:
Excellent food/quality, poor service, and overall poor professionalism of staff. I feel (and hope) this place can correct these errors to be a true asset to downtown Montgomery.
I will not be back.
