  1. I’ve been with Progressive for a few years. Recently I’ve gone through a lot in life with money problems, family court, other heartbreaking incidents. My policy lapsed for 2 weeks, I bought a new police as soon as I could, the very next day, I hit a deer, totaling my vehicle. I was told I was to get a pay out that next Wednesday. At the last minute I was told we had to cancel my meeting at the progressive office and that my clam rep, Mark Carpenter, was just waiting on a sign off from his supervisor. Fast forward a month and 9 days. I’ve forwarded my “documents” proving I wasn’t in the area of the dear the day i purchased the policy. They told me they needed metadata. I sent originals. Then they said the investigation was incomplete. And sent back to Mark Carpenter.. the only time I’ve had him answer the phone is when I’ve called him from other numbers than my own. Delfina his supervisor helped me one time and told me to cc her in my emails to him, I did. And never heard from her again either. I have been without a vehicle with AC for myself and 5 year old son. I have been left in the dark, and lied to about the progress of this claim as well as just flat out ignored. I was planning to keep progressive as my insurance company, but now I will not be dealing with them again after this. Court is my next avenue. I’ve looked into progressive and other lawsuits concerning how they deal with claims, and they are all exactly the same.
I also wonder why the reviews before mine… the only ones that are responded to are the good reviews.. hmmm 🤔

They also towed my car from Yreka, ca to Walnut Creek instead of sending a claim rep. I have no idea what has been going on with my vehicle.

  2. Progressive, I was never one to like to pay insurance. I don’t see a point in it. You constantly pay money every month just to have a problem when it is time to file a claim. The claim estimator named Nicole Bennett is the worst person ever to be in that position. And her supervisor Yvonne will piggy back her. Of course that is how it’s done in the industry, right? They don’t want to admit fault and accept the fact they they have done wrong.

I hit my car on the right side causing mainly mechanical damage and some physical damage such as the rims and the front spoiler. My husband dropped the car off at Caliber and made it home. He want even able to get out the lyft ride good enough and here it is Progressive calling me. I answered and there was an passive aggressive woman on the other line. She says my name is Nicole and I am the one who approves this. What is wrong with your car and why do you have damages that have nothing to do with this claim. I’m like huh. I told her what the claim was for and how my car was sounding. Nicole then says we’ll we’re not coving this because this is not apart of the claim and you need to file a separate claim and what is going on with yhr other claim for this because the person didn’t leave notes in the system. From that phone call I knew I was going to have an issue. I again explained the claim and what was going on with my car. I let her ramble on with what she felt like was important. She then proceeds to tell me what is wrong with my vehicle without having a mechanic perform a diagnostic. Before we got off the ephine she said well I am going to send you a picture of what we’re paying for.

Two weeks later, on Monday Ernesto told me my car was ready but they are waiting to hear from Progressive to cover the other damages to my car. Mind you Ernesto at Caliber Collision on Fulton Ave is NOT a mechanic. Ernesto never went into details with me about the other work but he did stay several times that that was a hard hit to the car. Which I know because I was in the car and it just didn’t sound right nor was it driving right. Ernesto said did Nicole Bennett call you I said no. He said she has more questions for you she needs to investigate what happened. I’m like we went over that but again she was stuck on what she was stuck on not wanting to hear me at all. A day goes by no call from Progressive. I called Nicole and left her a voicemail, an email and a text. The following morning which is a Friday I contacted her again by phone and text. She called back and said oh I was busy I was going to get around to you. She said the car is drivable (because I asked is it drivable) but you will need to get the left side of your car fixed. I said but that is what I was explaining to you in the beginning. If I hit the right side it is able to mess the left side up. She said no that is not how it works there is no correlation.

After I got off the phone with Nicole I called Caliber to speak with Ernesto. I said Hey Nicole cleared my car. I also asked him if it was drivable he yes it is. My husband picked the car up around Friday before closing. He called me and said let them know the car is still making that loud metal on metal rubbing sound. I called Caliber and I asked to speak with Ernesto. The guy that answered replied and said Ernesto is with a customer if you’re able to bring the car in on Monday.

I started sending messages to Nicole from Progressive letting her know that my car was still in bad shape. She ignored my messages. I received a survey from Progressive and I completed it. Yvonne, Nicole’s supervisor messaged me on a Wednesday and said I got your review but I want to talk to Nicole and Ernesto before I talk to you. I replied okay. A few days later Nicole starts to text me about my car and where am I sending it for another diagnostic. I told her Dodge Folsom but they wanted to hold my car for 4-5 days. Like I explained to Nicole you guys cleared it now this is another inconvenience for my family and I. My car is broke down and I have to have it towed. Done with Progressive!!

  3. The FMCSA updated its portals and progressives portals have been having glitches because of it. They are unwilling to take accountability for any mistakes their system is making. I have a clean driving record with the fmcsa and progressive seems to think I have multiple violations and out of services. Very frustrating their customer service relies solely on its “system” and cannot physically do any sort of checks manually.

  4. For back ground, I hit a parked car do to a man pulling out in front of me and I had no time to stop or turn around and he caused me to hit a parked vehicle. After they checked I was okay and i asked them for their insurance because they illegally pulled out and made an illegal u-turn which caused me to hit the parked car they refused and when cops were threatened to be called they ran.

I had got insurance with them and I was involved in a hit run. I gave them all my information about the accident, call logs, proof of purchasing insurance before the accident, photos with time and dates and my exact location. My claim adjuster would call me non stop asking for more information and when I told her I gave her all the information I possibly had she dropped me and said i fraudulently got insurance after the accident after proving I got it before. Then the owner of the parked cars insurance sent a collections agency after me (i was not aware progressive had dropped me last i heard she was communicating with state farm) so when i reached out multiple times to progressive i was ignored and misdirected. I now have to pay almost 5 grand because progressive fraudulently dropped me from insurance even though there was multiple items of proof i had insurance before my accident.

  5. I experienced significant frustration with the appointment scheduling process at this office. Despite being told the document signing would be quick, I had to wait for appointments scheduled far in advance. Only after expressing my concerns did they overnight the documents, leaving me questioning why this option wasn’t offered earlier. The office’s communication through a speaker and the inconvenience of being turned away added to the frustration. Despite these challenges, I managed to get my tasks done without assistance. The one bright spot in this frustrating experience was the pleasant interaction with a retiring staff member who acknowledged me. Her positive demeanor provided a glimpse of customer service amidst the overall disappointment with Progressive.
