  1. “Stress Free”? The most stressful experience I’ve had in my life in all 24+ years of owning/repairing multiple cars.

This shop has the worst combination of an unprofessional careless “always in hurry” mechanic (Larry) and careless service advisor with attitude (Jose). If you are unlucky to have to use this shop, make sure you work with a good service advisor, Max, who is really professional and caring. But it will not save you from Larry breaking your vehicle…. Expect to get your car back in a worse shape than when you left it, as it happened to me.

After reading good reviews and scheduling an appointment, I left my Honda Pilot for service – there was a tiny oil leak (thin coating of oil on the oil pan, no oil on garage floor), most likely from oil pan gasket. The result of Larry’s “work” after I got the car back was pools of oil on the garage floor. It took me multiple visits, escalation to the CEO, re-assignment to a good advisor (Max) and total ~$1600 to get back to the original state – still having the minor oil leak…. They replaced 2 other gaskets (on oil filter and crankshaft) which most likely did not have to do anything with the problem, and now they are recommending to do the oil pan gasket next (the original request)…. Well, I am not leaving a single dollar in this shop anymore.

From little easy-to-fix things which demonstrate their lack of care and professionalism – once they (Larry) did not tighten the oil drain plug properly (and oil was leaking to the floor), used a wrong gasket for the drain plug, overfilled engine oil, did not tighten oil filter properly. In their report they specified a wrong oil type for my Honda Pilot, but then verbally re-assured they actually put the correct type of oil in. When troubleshooting an oil leak they did not clean the oil on the engine/suspension parts (an obvious required step of leak troubleshooting), and Jose mocked me when I asked why (“are we supposed to steam clean your car undercarriage”?).

Stay away, no, run away from this shop!!!

  2. I have a 2015 Tundra, I bought used. It drives really nice, the way a Toyota truck should drive, so I thought. My coolant reservoir was low so I added some coolant, checked it the next day and the coolant tank didn’t look right. I checked the radiator cap and it had that creamy coffee looking stuff on it. I thought, here we go, blown head gasket. I brought it into Stress Free Auto and Max took a look at it. He said they would do all the tests to confirm what the problem was. Well it wasn’t the head gasket, thank God!! I had a bad o ring on my transmission cooler line the leaked into the radiator. Max told me they could take care of it and they did. They flushed the radiator and transmission twice to ensure they got all the gunk out. I picked up the truck, drove it and found it to be even better than before. It shifts so nice now, I didn’t know it was bad. Due to the diligence to their team of top notch techs they found the problem, fixed it and saved me thousands of dollars. Thanks guys, I know where I will be going to have my repairs done

  3. I had forgotten what great customer service was until I went to Made In Japan. I have an older car and in the hands of these professionals I’m sure it will last a lot longer.
Check in is thorough, notes and suggestions are easy to understand and the staff members are professionals and friendly.
Pricing is pricing these days. It seems reasonable and you can’t really put a price tag on trust when it comes to auto repair.

  4. Great car repair shop! I had Chevrolet Volt with “check engine light”. Bring it to Chevrolet service. They took $300 for diagnostics and suggest to replace whole battery coolant system for $2.5K.
I bring my car here and for $600 they fix it! Service person Max did great job. Easy and fast communication. All documents done online-very convenient. Highly recommend!

  5. This was the best experience I’ve ever had at an auto repair shop. Great people, great mechanics. Knowledgeable Service Agents who can find you parts for your vintage automobile ( mine being a 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood Coupe ) and I can say that I would travel from my home in East Sacramento and stay in a hotel in Campbell to have them service my vehicles!
