Great location with validated parking ($2.50 after validation). Has 2 stories with ample workout space, machines but with a shortage of lighter dumbbells such as 17.5, 20, etc. Other than that itās great for a workout.
Thereās a sauna in the menās locker room area as well as showers with glass doors. Not enough benches in locker room area though.
Donāt forget to get the validation card at the gym before paying for parking or itāll be $12.
Also the gym parking is in the fourth basement floor so be mindful and donāt get towed or ticketed.
Disappointing Experience with Inflexible Front Desk Staff
*Rating:* 1/5
Iāve been working out for over 8-10 years, consistently visiting the gym between 4am-5am. However, my recent experience with the front desk staff has left me disappointed and frustrated.
On [September 26, 2024], I attempted to enter the gym at [4:55] but was denied entry by the Hispanic front desk representative. He cited the guest pass policy, stating itās only active between 9am-9pm. I explained my early morning schedule and evening commitments, but he refused to accommodate me.
What bothered me most was his unprofessional demeanor; he smiled and laughed, making light of my situation. I found this behavior insensitive and puzzling.
As someone with a non-traditional schedule, I expect some flexibility from staff. A simple note to the manager would have resolved the issue. Instead, I was turned away.
Unfortunately, this experience has led me to reconsider my membership. I hope 24 Hour Fitness addresses their staff training and customer service policies to better accommodate diverse member schedules.
I experienced truly appalling service at Fitness 24, particularly from the supervisor, James. This time, they refused to allow me to store a very small scooter, similar to a childās toy, in the designated area, even though the gym has plenty of space. Previously, I had no issues bringing the scooter inside. It seems that sticking to such pointless rules without trying to assist or understand the clientās needs has become the norm here. Very disappointing, especially from James.
I moved to LA 3 days ago. I signed up for a free day pass to try this gym. I plan on trying a few gyms in the area before deciding which one to join. I made a reservation online and got a confirmation code. I called the gym several times to confirm when/how I could use the day pass. No one ever answered the phone, so I decided to go.
I arrived at the gym and gave them my confirmation code, but they refused to accept my out of State identification. They said they need proof of LA County residency. As of now, all I have is a job contract. They refused to accept that. They said they need something with a LA County permanent address. The employee really didnāt try to offer any solutions, so Iām taking my business elsewhere.
The website should really clarify that you will not be admitted without a permanent address in LA County. Better yet, maybe change that policy because it often takes someone several months to change their residency after moving. Also, maybe answer your phone. If you want business then make it easy for customers.
I like this gym for Its location. I also like it has 2 floors which offers more equipment options. Since I donāt do much weights I donāt find myself waiting for equipment use. I often use the upstairs exercise machines, plus the open wooden floors area. Usually the upstairs one has less people. I frequent the sauna which sometimes gets packed.
There is a paid parking structure, but I prefer to park in the street.
Overall pretty good experience for me.
