We went there for a service for my dad, It was his favorite place to go. The rooms are really nice and mattresses are perfect. Staff is extremely helpful and is very nice. Food is exceptional and we loved the place. 5 stars.
Excellent property. I have been to more than half of the Montage properties. They are all fantastic and unique. The Laguna Beach property is special in its own way.
The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The hotel grounds seamlessly blend into unbelievable city beachfront park land and trails
The food is great. I had one of the better pork chops I have ever had at Loft. Breakfast is also delicious. The food food is above average for cabana fare.
There is a decent by the glass selection in the lobby bar and at the main restaurant Loft – there are a handful of interesting choices. Pool by the glass is kind of meh.
Pool is great. Get down early in the morning to reserve a good chair(s) – they go fast. The chairs at the far end of the pool face the ocean and have a view all the way down to Dana Point – this is where you want to sit.
The beach is great. Clear, clean water. There are chairs on the beach but they seem to get engulfed by locals putting up tend and blankets right adjacent and in front. We just sat at the pool and would walk to the beach for occasional swims. We were there Labor Day weekend and it was likely busier than usual.
Rooms are nice. Beds are very comfy. We have older kids – there are lots of kids and dogs on property. The resort is highly friendly to both. We did have some bad neighbors with loud, screaming kids who they in turn yelled and cursed at. The walls are thin. The altercation was so over the top and long lasting that we had to have hotel security visit. I’ve never had to do that before but these room are too expensive to have to put up with any of this. The hotel was very prompt in their response.
Finally, the staff was absolutely the best. Valets, front desk, pool attendants, servers and room service was all a 10 out of 10. Courteous, friendly, professional and in a great mood/happy. They seem to enjoy working at the Montage.
We just got home and are already trying to figure out when we can visit again. Definitely will be back!
This place is nothing short of incredible. The rooms are perfect and the staff is absolutely amazing. 10/10. A dream, thank you to everyone here for working so hard and being so nice. Every staff member in every area was absolutely incredible and it’s a perfect California vacation. Worth every penny!
Exceptional stay! From the moment we arrived on the property, the staff went out of their way to make our stay feel special. The facilities are spectacular and compliment the amazing views. We had dinner at the Loft to celebrate a birthday; again, the food and service were fantastic. A highlight was spending time at the pool. We found the staff to be exceptional. Thank you to Haley, Bree, Mike, and Jayson, who made our vacation so perfect! Live music by the pool is phenomenal!
Visited here during happy hour & was in the lounge. Staff were great & so were the cocktails. The lounge has a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. The live music was especially nice where there was a pianist, then a guitarist singing during the evening.
