Love this place; Tuscaloosa is 4400 kilometres from home and I wouldnāt travel that far for any meal, but whenever Iām there Iāve got to stop at Cook Out a couple of times. The burgers ā Iāve ordered both beef and chicken on separate occasions- always hit the spot. Fries are not too salty and nice and crispy (not overly so), and the shakes! Just perfect for a humid Alabama day (or night)! And itās affordable, & staff have always been friendly and easy going. Then thereās those ducksā¦
Itās one of the best experiences in local dining. The food is served hot and made to order. Nice variety of menu items š
Hidden secrets also (walking tacos). Friendly customer service with every order and large variety of shakes. You wonāt be disappointed.
Cookout portion sizes have gotten ridiculous. This is my tray (not one bite taken). Notice I said tray and not junior tray? This cost me almost $9. On top of that their seems to be a new rule that you only get 2 sauces per tray. Iām not sure why weāre rationing like itās world War 2.
Cindy the āmanagerā may have provided the worst service Iāve ever received, she was rude during the whole process of ordering and handing out orders. It took almost 35 mins to get a Tray and 2 milkshakes. Once I finally got my milkshakes they were completely melted and the manager refused to remake them when I pointed out they were melted!!
I have not been comfortable eating at this restaurant for at least the past 3 years .
Each time I go inside I have to avoid stepping in duck do-do inside the restaurant as well as on the patio.
But the ducks were there first so I step around!
However itās the food that is alarming. Each visit itās always the same . UNDERCOOKED meat. Cold and tasteless .
This last time I took the food back and asked for refund.
Will never go back! Unless I want an e-coli poisoning.
