Great service. Had an earlier check-in so my class of room was not ready. She found an excellent alternative with great views of the bay. Bar drinks are great, and express elevators assigned by room # are a very welcomed plus both in terms of time but also security.
We were staying at the hotel for a 3 day conference.
The meeting rooms in the hotel are great and well equipped,we had classes on every floor and classroom and it all was very well organized.
The food catering during the convention was good and had a nice variety.
The view out the window is beautiful.
The hotel has everything that you might need, from stores to co-working spaces, restaurants ,pool .
The location is perfect, right next to the convention center and the marina . So plenty of options to have a nice time out.
I booked a stay in one of the presidential suites for my wife’s 35th birthday. ($1,000+ per night, since it was such a special occasion). Hoping for a premium experience, we got the opposite.
The room wasn’t ready until 5pm the day of check-in, which ruined our opportunity to set up balloons and birthday decorations.
For the inconvenience, we were told we would get free valet and a $200 credit on our bill.
It turns out, the $200 was actually for hotel purchases only, and when we received the invoice, they still charged us $65 for valet.
We were also charged a $250 property damage fee, but they couldn’t tell me for what. To be fair, we did damage the hotel room – ONE champagne glass fell on the ground and broke. The only thing I could see potentially being an issue was confetti on the floor – which could be easily cleaned up with a vacuum.
There were over $300 in additional, not-authorized charges on the invoice I received. I had to call twice just to speak to someone about getting over charged.
The view was nice, but this hotel is vastly overrated. The room itself is also incredibly outdated. Old tech. Old rooms. Old decor. For a premier service, this hotel isn’t it.
As far as customer service goes, if I could give out negative stars, I would. When you call, it’s impossible to ever get anyone on the phone. You will go through a 10 minute automated phone tree before getting anywhere close to your issue.
There are many other great options in the area and I will never stay at this hotel again.
We stayed here for a day with kids and had a great experience. The hotel has two towers and stores, restaurants, and other amenities (including an outdoor pool, movie theater, and indoor gym). The pool is heated but it can get windy outside. The location is near the convention center and Seaport Village. You really don’t have to stray more than a few blocks away if you want to take it easy. Paid parking is available in the attached garage and allows you to drive in and out once you check in.
TOP NOTCH HOTEL!!! Over looking the ocean beach front, beautiful scenery , close to anything with in walking distance or metro area to different places with in 10 minutes. Walked to PETCO PARK for a concert, then walked to gaslight district bar heaven 🍻 🍹, took metro to Little Italy, then to old town San Diego, all short distance rides. Fell in love 🥰 with this wonderful place! Saw a Beatles tribute concert at the beach front orchestra 💕
