  2. Bob was trustworthy and fair with me until he wasnā€™t. I have taken my cars and truck in before and outside the one time he kept my Highlander for 3 days and still didnā€™t fix the breaks, things seemed fine.

    I made an appointment through his little email appointment maker prompt for my F250 to get some routine maintenance done, the AC fixed and the rear doors to the super cab fixed. All listed in the little appointment maker thing so there should have been no surprises when I got there.

    I dropped the truck off at the appointment time, 9:30 Monday. I mentioned to him this is my one and only work truck that I use for my business every day. He said not to worry.

    He kept my truck for 5 days and didnā€™t do anything at all to it.

    Not even an oil change or a tire rotation. Notta.

    Didnā€™t even diagnose the AC problem or the rear door issues so we could at least order the parts if needed. Did absolutely nothing.

    He did offer some consolation excuses though. One that was it took 3 days to get the transmission filter, which still left 2 out of the 5 days he has the truck, and the other excuse was all used up by 2022.

    Iā€™m still curious what the transmission filter has to do with the oil, tires, AC, rear doors and breaks.

    This was not fair, professional, and certainly not trustworthy.

    I certainly didnā€™t plan on getting into a pee pee match, but here we areā€¦While I can understand being a busy shop, thatā€™s still NO excuse to not get anything done on my truck at all in 5 days especially since I made an appointment. I didnā€™t know the appointment app was the end all to adding things to be done. And actually, since weā€™re here, there were 10 things listed in the appointment, not 8, so yes, I added 4 more that I thought of during those few days I was waiting on my APPOINTMENT. And 3 of those 4 items were minor.

    Iā€™ve not ever been to a business where the owner didnā€™t actually want more business.

    And yes, I COMPLETELY agree everyone that drops their vehicle off needs it back as SOON as possible. Iā€™m definitely part of that crowd. Which is DEFINITELY why it should have been handled better. 1st in 1st out would be a perfect solution to this problem.

    If ā€œsaying to my faceā€ is in reference to the things that were said to the technician, in front of me, about it might take a while because ā€œthereā€™s 14 things on this listā€, and I said ā€œthatā€™s why I planned on leaving it a few daysā€ and yā€™all both laughed and laughed and laughedā€¦ I literally took it as a joke.

    Now, after the response to my review, I see I was clearly being mocked and made fun of. You can be sure this is not fair or professional.

    It clearly seems as if there was NO effort to get the ANY of the work done on my truck. Now I donā€™t run a service shop, but I do run appointments for my business. And I consider them VERY important because it shows a HUGE amount of RESPECT for the other personā€™s time and effort. A lot of shops are set up as tires are one station, oil and lube is another, diagnostic is another, major repair is another, breaks are another. And so in and so forth. No reason to have maybe 70 to 80+ cars come in after I dropped my truck off, come and go, and I get no work done. It really just an odd way to run it.

    It was stated there are 2 levels of technician that work there and that makes perfect sense. It would have been cool if in that 5 days my truck was there, I could have at the minimum gotten the oil changed, the tires rotated and balanced, and the diagnostic work performed so we could at least know if any parts needed to be orderedā€¦this would have gone a LONG way to remaining fair, professional and trustworthy.

    Like I already saidā€¦to bad so sad. If they ever get to the work, it always been good. When I initially started bringing my vehicles here, they were able to fix several issues that other shops had wrong. Plus its only 2 minutes from my house.

    Disrespecting someoneā€™s time doesnā€™t bode well. Itā€™s not fair, professional, or trustworthy.

    No matter how good you might think you are.

  3. I can not say enough wonderful things about Foreign & Domestic Autocare. They stay busy and there is a reason. Thorough inspection delivered via text message with detailed notes and photos. Only charge you for the work you approve and they are very reasonable.
