We visited the Meadowood Spa and similar to the rest of their facilities, the Spa does not disappoint.
Perfection. As soon as you walk through the door, you wish time can stop. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with warm friendly staff. The welcome area is so calming you can just fall asleep on the couch. We made reservations for a couples massage package, and a mustard bath. The locker rooms were in perfect working conditions. The outdoor rest area with the umbrella was so inviting although you’ll be sharing the space with a few bugs. The small snacks, tea and fruit was a nice touch. Nice spacious steam rooms with an outdoor shower in perfect working order. The only thing absent was a jacuzzi. The couple massage was very good and relaxing, and the baths are a must try. The bath rooms have a partial open to the element so you can enjoy the outdoor scene while relaxing and soaking in the tub.
Overall this place is a definite repeat, and reservations are recommended.
My room came with a $75 daily food credit, and was told at check-in by the front desk staff that I would get 3 credits for my 2-night stay. I ended up only receiving two credits at check out. They should have better staff training to avoid such regrettable errors that marred an otherwise pleasant stay.
We just completed a three nights stay at Meadowood from May 24-26, 2024.
I cannot begin to explain how outstanding it was. From the service, to the staff, to the facilities, to the food, and, of course, the lovely setting in the hills of St. Helena. They truly think of every little detail.
We especially enjoyed getting to utilize the house car, sitting by the pool, and hiking through some of the expansive walking trails on site.
It was pricey for us and worth every penny. The only negative is that we are now ruined because every other hotel will fall short of the outstanding experience we had at Meadowood.
We also considered staying at the Auberge and The Four Seasons. We went to eat at both for a meal and walked away knowing we made the right choice staying at Meadowood.
“There is not one detail that Meadowood has not perfected”.
My folks were on a multi-day trip through the wine country for their 58th wedding anniversary. I treated them to a stop at Meadowood for the occasion. You would have thought they were a couple of giddy teenagers texting me their glowing praise and pics of their stay from beginning to end. The headline of this review is one of MANY comments that my parents shared about Meadowood. Here are a few more:
“We just checked in with the help of “Julian” who escorted us to the room and said they will come start the fireplace when we are ready for it later.
We are ecstatic! Totally blown away!!! Dad is sending video. It is ab fab! Beyond expectation. And somehow they know we are celebrating our anniversary… Hmmmm, wonder how. 🙂 They sent a bottle of sparkling wine up to us complements of Meadowood. They will pick us up to escort us by golf cart to Forum for dinner.
Oh the complementary Goodies! Several different Fever-Tree sodas and sparkling waters for moi…my favorite brand I always had in Great Britain among other delightful snacks.
It is just an Amazing property with beautiful views. The large balcony with table and chairs and two lounging chairs is delightful. Beautiful view! The bathroom is wonderful as is the cozy suite with vaulted ceilings. Comfortable luxury at every turn.
Re: Dining at the Forum restaurant :
“A perfect meal. We just now got back to the suite. We had each course very leisurely. The staff were amazing. Only a few other guests so we got a lot of attention from each one of the staff. We all laughed and talked and had a good time. I am totally stuffed! Dad is now starting the fireplace. So we dined from 5:30-8:30 at Forum! “
So, needless to say, they loved every moment of their stay and have vowed to return for their next anniversary.
I can’t thank the staff more for making my parents stay exceptional in every way.
Meadowood has the best rooms in Napa. Our room was a bungalow on the hillside. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Do not rely on Uber/Lyft for this area. Food is awesome. A little pricey.
