  1. Definitely recommend this gym if youā€™re in the area. Short stay in town for business and it provided everything I needed between free weights, machines and cables. Deadlift platform which was nice especially with the overhead lighting. Easy access to gym (front and back), sign up was smooth and easy with no hassle.

  2. Beautiful facility but monthly plan is a little confusing. Monthly membership is 49$ with no contract. Today is September the 3rd.I was told I have to pay $92 dollars to start. Thatā€™s basically paying for two months. Iā€™m just a normal guy so $92 is a lot at once. Again, beautiful facility, but I wish it was $49 no matter when you wanted to sign up.

  3. Former member of Planet Fitness, I was tired of never being able to get to any equipment, hated that they went away from being 24/7, and absolutely couldnā€™t stand that all they had were smith machines and eventually just stopped going and gained all of my weight back, since then I enrolled at the gym of Foley and am about 3 months in and 30lbs lighter. This gym has been critical for my weight loss success! Thank you Gym of Foley.

  4. I came here back when it was Jasonā€™s, then decided to come back when it became the gym in Foley. It is Jasonā€™s, just older and sadly more run down. They still have signs hanging outside promoting a juice bar that hasnā€™t been there for years. The place has so much potential and some great equipment you donā€™t see at other gyms, but it feels like someone owns it and is happy to have it on the back burner. None of the cardio equipment works on the second floor, and what is left on the bottom floor is placed weirdly. It needs to be redone. The boxing I never saw anyone use, and when I was there, it was always locked. The basketball court has holes in the wall from people doing stupid stuff, as is typical. I would go full weights and cardio and get rid of everything else. Cardio upstairs and weights downstairs. They have a sauna, but the timer is broken, so it is either on or off, with notes everywhere saying if people donā€™t turn it off after leaving, it will only be available during staffed hours, which have odd times. This place could be great, and I hate leaving bad reviews, hence why I gave it three stars right now; what it has going for is that it is never busy. So, you pay extra to have a place for yourself and for a sauna, which no one in the area has. Also, some of the machines theyā€™ve added recently feel like the stuff found on the Facebook marketplace. They have some bikes that seem straight from the 80s. The place could be so much better, which is why Iā€™m writing the review. I currently have two gym memberships, Planet Fitness for the spa-type stuff and Southern Muscle Factory, which competing bodybuilders operate. At Southern, it is a 24/7 operation, and the people running it compete, so you see a bunch of active bodybuilders periodically on-site. EDIT: The fact that the owner responded as if Iā€™m some type of hack speaks volumes. Iā€™m from the area and have lived here all my life except my time in the air force, but donā€™t take my word for it try them out and see if my criticism is valid. The remodel they speak of was done at the time they took over from Jason which still operates his location in Mobile. The remodel invovled the bathrooms and adding some hexagon lights. They still have all the old Jason stuff hanging on the walls inside and out. As for the MMA I guess they have a third party running that area which takes up a fairly large portion of their downstairs I never saw anything that directed me to a contact number to use the room. By my guess from his responce it must cost extra to use it which was something that was never explained to me during my return time their. I donā€™t get angry often but saying Iā€™m some kind of stooge promoting other businesses will do it. Maybe as a business owner you should reflect on how your business is run and in all honesty if it is even a clean location. I was being nice with my muted review. The place is dirty not once have I ever seen anyone clean the bathroom and sauna while I was there. If you look inside the sauna closely and you will know what Iā€™m talking about. Also, look at the shower which everytime I used them had the same soaps and shampoos in the racks like someone was staying on site. The only reason I suggested the other location which I have no vested interest in was because the manager/ owner saw me doing a excercise incorrectly and helped my make the proper adjustment without me ever asking for help. Iā€™ve yet to see the new owner of the Jasonā€™s unless it was 30 something bearded guy who I would see sitting in the office on occasion yuking it up with the yoga instructor who has been their forever. I wonā€™t change my rating but if you dont believe me try them out and I think you will see what Iā€™m talking about. You be your own judge. Also, feel free to check out my other reviews and you will see that what he alluded to is incorrect. Let the owners words tell you everything. EDIT #2: I see the owner edited his comment which I appreciate.

  5. I am an out-of-towner and this gym is perfect for me. I enjoy the basketball court after a good work out. It is never slammed busy and being able to enter at night being it has 24hrs always is a great plus. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good place to work out.
