This Union saved my life. I made stupid decisions and ended up in prison for many years.this union gave me a career where I could succeed and provide a great living for my family. If you are willing to work hard you can and will be successful. Great benefits,excellent pay and a pension
I was laid off on the first week of September 2017. Ever since I was unemployed until November 2017. I was then laid off 2 days later. Ever since that, I was once again unemployed until last year on September 2018 I got a,job at an Insulation Company that was Non-Union. I was then laid off again because the company lost a contract with the City of Pomona. I was unemployed again and still am. During all of last year I’ve been contacting the Union for work specifically Ted Jimenez. He was absolutely no help whatsoever. I was told to go to the Union meetings and I would get help there but nothing worked. I went to Long Beach, Santa Monica, San Diego, etc, and nobody helped me. Keep in mind I was spending my gas and I had no employment during that time so money was tight. They still expected me to go to school but how could I? Why would I? So, I was kicked out of the program because I wouldn’t show up since I was broke and had to provide for my wife and newborn baby. I had to do side jobs and work under the table. Then we lost our apartment because this so called union still wouldnt find me work. Then I stopped paying my dues because it was hard. Then I receive a phone call of a guy saying they’re gonna kick me out if I don’t pay. How dare they?! They call each other a brother and sister but what about me? I’m nobody to them. They just want my money.
Wish we could help one another along the the way in Life and not feed the narrative stand strong head up Brothers.
Great spot for our required classes in the union. Awesome instructors too.
