This is my local Vons so unfortunately I don’t have much choice but I really question the quality of the food and how often they’re checking their stock. Multiple times now I’ve bought produce or their prepacked lunch meat at the front, only to get home to discover it’s rotten. The lunch meat it’s happened about 3-4 times now and produce at least a couple. It’s one thing with the produce, but the meat packs are up to 10-12 dollars a pack now. Pack day always says it was packed a day before and that it’s good for several days to come. The slime on the meat says otherwise.
Jose Rodriguez is the man! Great cashier service and so friendly. Made my night with his humor and cheer during a normal shopping chore. Fairly clean and organized Vons, although a bit smaller in volume so a little less product variety is offered. Plenty of parking and a good place for quick in and out grab and go ingredients.
Thanks to unprofessional staff , I will never shop Vons again. I simply came in this morning to use coinstar. Went about my business and as I was at the cashier, I begin to get heckled by the cashier Jackie. Talking bout there’s a zero bag policy in the store. Now keep in mind as I walked in I greeted the security (clearly saw my reusable Trader Joe’s bag) and she said nothing whatsoever only a good morning back. I am born and raised in the neighborhood so this was surprising to me. What was more bewildering was the fact my bag was a groceries bag. I felt as if I was being profiled as a thief and to prove them wrong I layed my personal items out in front of her. Of course she was embarrassed. Then JESUS, the kid bagging the groceries, has the audacity to address me saying “Bud do we have a problem” like if he was some sort of top flight security. That is not okay and very unprofessional. (Had to keep my temper).
This is such a shame because, you all not only failed to enforce your policies but also made a paying customer feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Thank You staff at Vons north Alvarado (Jesus and Jackie) for the horrible experience this morning. Never shopping Vons again.
Jefferson is an amazing employee who went out of his way to get us our vegan hot dogs!! Went to Vons to get some vegan hot dogs upon arrival was surprised to see the store doing a change in the deli section. We asked about 3 employees for directions on where they had moved the vegan deli with no much help. Upon asking Jefferson he not only stopped what he was doing but he went out of his way to go back and get us our hot dogs!! Thank you so much Jefferson you made our day!! Give Jefferson a raise!!
Been going to this Vons way before it turned to vons. I’ve had have never had a bad experience myself but I have witnessed many of them . Today was my first, I had to deal with the most disrespectful saddest customer service anyone can give a person. What kind of training are this people getting ? Very disappointing
