  1. The equipment is often broken for months at a time. Sometimes has an out of order signs but some cable machines have exposed cords or the ability to change weight is broken. I know I’ve brought it managements attention several times but that was months ago and the equipment is still broken.

Speaking of management, the GM, Tanner, doesn’t seem to like older, minority, or overweight clientele very much at all from what I gather from interaction with him. He is very condescending and lacks the ability to show any sort of respect for paying clients unless they are young.

Any basic question, he is makes it seem like what you are saying doesn’t matter. Even if you are trying to get clarification. He will talk over you like what you have to say is of no concern. He is quite rude. Very bad customer service.

Every interaction I’ve had has gone this way. I’ve talked to other clientele that are now canceling their memberships because the GM is making it uncomfortable for older clientele even going as far as hearing him say that they disgusted him.

The gym used to have a welcoming feeling but not so much any more.

Also, the fans over the weight and cardio area is supposed to be used for circulation and decrease the usage of a/c they are constantly turned off when the gym is full and makes the whole gym reek of stagnant air.

I’ve requested they be turned on by the front desk and I get scoffed at.

Don’t get me started on the santizing spray and towels for wiping the machines.

The gym has seriously gone down hill in the last several months.

At least the free weights aren’t broken and I still use them.

  2. New management, Gym experience drastically improved!
The new GM Tanner is the man! He handles business professionally and was willing to work to resolve a situation that carried over from previous management. I’m very glad to return to this gym and see all the positive changes!

  3. Well, it finally happened
The general manager Tanner asked me to scan my crunch barcode “randomly” when I requested to use massage chair after a rigorous workout and then seemed offended when I asked why. I had already been scanned into gym over an hour before he asked to verify my membership again. I asked him if there had been a system update where Crunch was counting how many times a patron used the amenities to which he seemed to imply that it was. However, he then admitted that he needed to scan my card to verify what level at Crunch I was on for the added perks. I find it odd that no one has ever asked to verify my membership level each time that I have used the massage chair. Tanner was in the gym without a badge on or a Crunch Fitness polo, but he made it his business to come verify my Crunch Fitness level even though there were multiple, uniformed associates at the desk.

I have been a member here for nearly 6 months. You would think as general manager that he would be more concerned with the multiple leaking ceiling spots, broken exercise equipment, displaced soap dispensers, empty paper towels holders, out of order women’s bathroom stalls, and overrunning trash cans more so than verifying my fitness level in front of multiple, uniformed associates. Of course, when I thanked Tanner by name for verifying that I was at the appropriate level, he then proceeded to ask if I was going to corporate. Smh

  4. OK so this gym has some MAJOR issues that it needs to resolve! First by cleaning the bathrooms these are absolutely disgusting as if Noone cleans the which they do not because the handicap bench has been broken since I’ve been coming here starting 1/2/22 as well as a lump of Hair in the last men’s shower. Secondly there is hardly no paper towels ever in the dispensers to wipe down the equipment when people are done using them. Next we go back to the horrible house keeping probably due to all the kids at the desk more worried about chatting with friends and being on their phones rather than working. From the outside it looks nice but some HORRIBLY DISGUSTING on the inside. I know planet fitness doesn’t have the equipment that crunch has but at least it’s CLEAN! Owners/management, do better! Do better with keeping cleanliness in your establishment. Every other crunch I’ve been to across the country is very neat and clean. Yours is an embarrassment to other crunches nation wide. As far as machines being in service and in working order they are and that’s why the 2 star. Clean your gym and keep it that way!

  5. I joined this gym almost a year ago and canceled my membership due to its cleanliness issues—machines, tanning beds, bathroom, and kids’ playroom were all dirty. About a month ago, my daughter convinced me to rejoin, promising it’s improved, but it hasn’t. The tanning beds and bathroom are still filthy, and the front employees are a big problem. Despite claiming to be judgment-free, they’ve repeatedly shown bias against older people and larger women. For instance, during a recent visit with my mom, the employee neglected to acknowledge her presence and instead prioritized helping younger, thinner girls. This has happened multiple times, and attempts to speak to a manager have been fruitless. It’s time for a complete overhaul of the staff and cleanliness standards—they should earn their paycheck by maintaining the gym properly, not by socializing and neglecting their duties.
