  1. Stayed here for a recent four-day spring break getaway and it was a perfect, easy going adventure.

This cute new hotel is nestled right in my favorite corner of South Downtown Palm Springs. The aesthetic of the property is very well done. It is casual (a remodeled motel) and perfect for solo travelers, friends, or families. (Dog friendly too!)

The hotel’s design seamlessly blends with the allure of the desert. The pool area makes the perfect backdrop for a relaxing time & good vibes, and has some really great cocktails (think unique spritzes and sparkling margaritas).

The food all comes from the hotel’s on site restaurant, Minerva’s, which also left a lasting impression (especially with brunch!) and their many plant-based options.

On my last day, I woke up to a beautiful rainbow right outside my room.

Looking forward to returning regularly, as many of the other boutique hotel options in the area have gone down hill. Life House is a little breath of fresh air!

  2. Convenient location. Stylish, Small Motel. Customer Service needs major improvement (scroll to end for more details), Amenities also need to be reconsidered for the experience to align with Life house’s marketing campaign.

Cody greeted us at reception, he was friendly and helpful. Room was not ready even though we arrived an hour after check in time. Room had nice design aesthetic but was small with small bathroom. This was expected and was OK for a quick trip. Similar experience for pool area. Minimal hotel pool, but cute. Good bar staff, bar closed too early though.

Liked that we could access the pool from our ground floor room. Agree w/ other reviewers that it felt cheap that there was only one robe for double queen room, and no coffee/espresso maker.

Biggest Issue with the hotel happened after leaving, that soured the experience.
Minibar charges were added to my emailed receipt. Filed dispute with CC, because no one from Life House ever responded after multiple attempts.
**Deducted two stars from this, otherwise would have rated a 3.5

  3. Very stylish hotel and room with comfy bed and lots of attention to details. Loved the stylish pool area with drinks and food service. A major inconvenience was the AC going down, ending up with 100F in the room. We got another room (great!) but had to move all our luggage (not so great). Missed a small geste to make up for this, e.g. taking a consumption at the pool on the house. The breakfast room is very stylish but only four rather pricey choices, none of them really for kids. Very disappointing was that they could not serve proper espresso or cappuccino coffee because the staff “wasn’t trained on the coffee machine.”

  4. We toggle between Palm Springs and LA. We wanted something new and different with an emphasis on vegetarian for dinner. We had a lovely experience at the restaurant with Nicholas who was our waiter. He assisted navigating the menu. The food and beverage selections he recommended were superb. All of the dishes were fresh, creative and flavorful. The portions were be very generous. We’ll be back.

  5. Cute and affordable boutique hotel super close to downtown palm springs. Check in was easy and our room was ready at noon already (it was Tuesday when we checked in). We had a great time in our deluxe suite, which was clean and super big. The pool area was nice and well maintained, the bar staff was so nice and friendly.
I will absolutely stay here again next time we come to palm springs
