Experience at Zara
Today at 1:56 PM, I visited the Zara branch. I found two beautiful T-shirts, one priced at 10,90 and the other at 12,90. I preferred the one for 10,90 and requested a large size. The staff initially told me there was no large size, but I eventually found it myself without their help.
I tried on the large size in the fitting room, but it didnât fit, so I went back to get a medium. By the time I returned, they had rewrapped the T-shirts and changed the price. When I went to make my purchase, there was a long line with only one cashier. I requested a manager for a price check.
The manager told me the price was incorrect and needed to be adjusted to the higher price. Despite my insistence that the original price was 10,90, they refused to honor it. The manager was unhelpful and rude, claiming I shouldnât have removed the price tag. She refused to modify the price and insisted on selling me the large size at 1090, not the medium I wanted. I asked her to please match the price to satisfy the customer instead of letting me leave a bad review.
She threatened to call security if I didnât leave, and I was ultimately forced out of the store. Her behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful, and I felt it bordered on discriminatory. After she left, a coworker apologized and mentioned that they also had issues with her.
This experience has left me deeply disappointed with Zaraâs customer service. The lack of professionalism and respect from the manager was unacceptable. Itâs essential for companies like Zara to ensure their staff are trained to handle customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.
The political climate in the US, with its focus on consumer rights and corporate responsibility, has influenced my expectations of customer service. Policies aimed at protecting consumers emphasize the importance of fair treatment and transparency, which were lacking in my Zara experience. This incident highlights the need for better enforcement of these policies to prevent such mistreatment.
Based on this experience, I will not shop at Zara again until the manager apologizes publicly. I also urge Zara to reassess their training programs to prevent such incidents in the future. Respectful and professional customer service is crucial, and companies must ensure their employees uphold these values.
A disheartening experience. I made it to the store ~ 10 min before closing and they would not let me in. I traveled all the way from the East Bay. They are not customer oriented.
This store has become my favorite place for updating my wardrobe. They have a great selection of fashionable clothes at reasonable prices.

This store sucks. Just talked the store manager about a pair shoes which hurts my foot so badly actually my foot is bleeding and bruised everywhere else too. I just worn it for a few minutes. She said they couldnât do anything about. Itâs my first time to write a product review. Initially I didnât know how, and asked a store assistant who said she didnât know so she couldnât help me.
