Geek squad is fraud, I subscribe to geek squad annually, pay my subscription as at when due, I took the computer I bought from best buy to them, they said they canāt fix it, that I should trash it, so why are they collecting annual subscription from me, and yet canāt fix the computer they are collecting subscription for.
Just wanted to find out about installing a tv on a wall. Never could get to speak to a real person and it hung up on me š
Do not go to these people. They did not help us take our computer out, didnāt show show us how to use it also they left some of the information off. I think they just used us for the money.
Joshua at Geek Squad at this Best Buy was a life saver. My phone had black screened yesterday morning and couldnāt get it to power back on, even after being put on a charger for several minutes. He worked magic and brought it back alive for no charge. The phone is very important to me for work, home, and along monitors my blood sugar so Iām very thankful to him and his professional service.
Computer was fixed but I was bamboozled to purchase the most expensive option in order to get my computer serviced. Was told itāll include this and that but when the time came for a certain part of my computer to be fixed, all of a sudden, it ānever was includedā. I was highly upset when learning that I was tricked by the agent. Furthermore, after receiving my item, I used it once a couple days later for school work and noticed that my computer was charging on and off by itself. I thought maybe it was the socket I was using at that time. However, a few days passed and I used my computer again but at a different location and the same thing happened again. I discovered that after receiving my computer and charger back from Geek Squad, my charger now has a shortage within it. Tried contacting them on the phone since Iām out of town to see if I may receive a free replacement due to this and nobody answered. Then I was told by a rude national operator that Iāll need to come in person to speak to them in order to handle the situation before too much time passes by but I am out of town for awhile for work. Overall, Iām happy that my computer got fixed but highly upset with the customer service from both the national operator and the person who checked my computer in, and the fact that after I received my items back from Geek Squad my computer charger all of a sudden has a shortage. If I wouldāve known this would happen, I wouldāve kept my charger to myself.
Side Note: After receiving my computer back from Geek Squad, it doesnāt even recognized me as the administrator anymore and it limits my control of the computerās settings.
Update: Geek Squad manager wasnāt no help. He admitted that the agent who checked me in wasnāt specialized in helping me checking in my computer and he actually only works as a technician. Admitted that I was, in fact, incorrectly informed by the agent and after he found out who it was that checked me in, he wasnāt surprised. He failed to give me a full resolution and only left me with the impression that Geek Squad supports misleading their customers for more profits and to give a lack of efficient customer service is āokā. I wonāt ever be back again.
