Dr. Amber has been everything I have needed in a doctor. She is easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and professional. I am happy with my experiences at this office.
Office staff is rude . Tried to have them serve me again after being with Kaiser for 6 years because of work . Now I have regular insurance . They refuse to see me because of some $40 copay I had no idea about from 7 years ago . They are the worst . Vivian was their only good staff and she left too
Im very disappointed in the level of care Iāve received from Dr. Mahal. I think if you are told to come at a certain time the practitioner should at least make an attempt to see you on time. Both office visits resulted in waits of over an hour. If that was the only problem though it wouldnāt be a huge deal. But Dr. Amber doesnāt return phone callsā¦she has her assistant call you two to four days later to kind of sort of answer your question. I called her office because I was having cramps and I had just found out I was pregnant. I had already been seen by her but she said she couldnāt help me and to go to urgent care..(well she didnāt tell me her assistant did). The urgent care she sent me to also said they couldnāt help me so I had to wait in the ER for 7 hours to find out I had a bladder infection. I also asked Dr. Amber if she could proscribe a cream that women in my family have used to prevent miscarriage but she said she ādidnāt feel comfortableā prescribing it. Itās something you can get from a health food store but the pharmacy version is better. So all in all I would advise anyone to avoid this Doctor.
Dr. Mahal is great and addresses my concerns appropriately and in a timely fashion, thus the 2 stars. Her office assistants are HORRIBLE AND RUDE! I have to call several times after the doctor prescribed pain meds when Iām suffering from excruciating pain just to get the prescription sent over because the one who does that job did not believe me. I have also had to call a total of 6 times (with no result yet) to find out what happened to my referral to a neurosurgeon. Iāve been out of work for 2 weeks and pain is horrible and these people do not care! I called 4 times today starting at 1135 am and kept being put on hold and then disconnectedā¦only for my last call to catch them āout to lunchā at 1155 am. If you guys donāt want to do your job or we are bothering you, have enough compassion to quit so someone who cares can be hired!
Dr. Amber Mahal has always been kind and a very detailed in my experience. She pays attention to family history and was supportive and referred me to specialists when I needed them in a timely manner. She listens and is professional and relaxed which I appreciate. She encourages lifestyle change along with prescribing medications which I also am very appreciative of. She is an awesome doctor for all my internal medicine needs.
