The crab dip was a 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it. The stuffed mushrooms are really good, too. The portions were good size. Basically, the fried stuff was just like any other fried food. The crab cakes were amazing. I will definitely be returning again. The crab dip was so good I may just get a double order for a meal.
This was my first time at this location but I usually eat at their location in foley. The tater cakes are always amazing and full of flavor. The crab dip is sure to be different from others you have tried; it’s a tad sweeter compared to the traditional Cajun or spicy way of making it. The stuffed mushrooms I can’t say enough good things about them. They didn’t last two seconds on the table! The calamari was cooked well and had a nice dipping sauce. The crab claws at this location were not seasoned as well as I’m used to but they were still decent enough. The captain’s platter was good but the fish needed to be seasoned more. Our waitress (Tayiah) was nothing short of amazing. She knew the menu, she gave honest feedback, was attentive to whatever we asked and always had a smile; very professional indeed!
Advice: join the “waitlist” if you have a group or going for dinner as this restaurant is usually busy for dinner.
My husband ordered the 8 oz. Filet and my daughter the cheeseburger and fries from the kids menu. For my meal, I ordered 2 appetizers; smoky tuna dip with cheesy pita wedges and coconut shrimp with an orange marmalade. Mine were incredibly tasty!!
Everything tasted great and the portions were on the larger side. I left stuffed and leftovers to take home.
Our waitress was pretty good but she was very busy waiting on so many large tables, so we had to keep asking her for refills on our beverages but it really wasn’t her fault and she was friendly.
You could eat inside or outside. Large parking lot but very full at dinner.
Prices are a little on the pricier side but comparable to most seafood restaurants in the Orange beach area.
We’re Florida natives & seafood lovers. We purposefully went to Wolf Bay between lunch and dinner to avoid the typical Sunday afternoon crowd. The service at the bar wasn’t great. As a bartender myself, I can’t see a reason why we went so long without acknowledgment, however, the food was fantastic! We’ll definitely be back to try more. This visit, we enjoyed the salad bar, crab stuffed mushrooms, and a dozen oysters on a half shell.
The salad bar had plenty to choose from, was fresh and clean. The stuffed mushrooms were the best we’ve had in forever, so so good. And the oysters on a half shell were fresh, filling, and delicious!!!
There was no wait for a table at 5:30 on a Tuesday. The atmosphere was bright, airy, beachy. We started with the conecuh and crawfish tater cakes which were deliciously unique and a must try. For entrees we had the Captain’s Platter with fries and the peel and eat shrimp with smoked Gouda grits. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our waiter Johnathon was attentive and efficient. We will definitely return!
