1. It has to be some of the best feelings when sharing positive light for a job done, above and beyond excellence. The Belmont Stations “Jonathan” provides good light and straight talk. Truly one of the champions of property management. This is our 3rd Essex property lived in. Mostly, across the board everyone is solid. At the Belmont Station (2.5 years resident) we have truly enjoyed the rare “deal” for DTLA (adjacent) living. The top floor loft unit we loved and amenities are on point. The maintenance team is stellar and quick to respond. The location is great (considering the area and its evolving, issues etc). Jonathan is the easy choice for best of Essex property managing teams in Los Angeles. The fact that he will remember your name and offer assistance is high end. Always has a thoughtful and informative answer. He makes the whole rental experience better, and the business relationship with Essex quite solid. Honorable mention for another star on staff at the Belmont must include Dominic. Thank you!

2. I am in the search for a new apartment and came across Belmont Station. Carmen the property manager took time to go over pricing and availability and showed me around the amenities. Huge kudos as you don’t normally get a PM that goes the extra mile. The property looked great and made me excited again to live in an apartment community. The amenities are fantastic !!!

3. EV OWNERS BEWARE. NO CAR CHARGERS. I signed the lease specifically because I was told that there are car chargers and that is true, physically, but they’re NOT ACTIVATED. It has been a year and STILL NOT ACTIVATED as of March 2024 with no ETA. If car chargers is a must-have for you, I recommending passing on Belmont Station.

   Responses:

   May 2023: Thank you so much for reaching out and following up on this. We recently received an update that the charges will be active very soon. The last thing we are waiting for is an actual cellular signal to get those stations up and running. This will also allow us to get more clarity on the price.

   June 2023: We are waiting for a communication system to be set in place between our charging stations and ChargePoint. That is the last update we received regarding the current status of the stations. We will be sure to update the property as a whole once they are active and ready for use.

   Aug 2023: We are still waiting for the permit and for the chargers to be ready . We are just having a waitlist for now and we will communicate next steps once we receive the official EV chargers and confirmation. We appreciate your understanding with this matter.

   Jan 2024: I sincerely apologize for the delay in activating this community feature as our hands are tied at the moment as well. We are pending an update from the Sustainability Manager on the status of the chargers as we follow-up on this weekly.

   Will update my review once car chargers are working.

   Also, expect some bad dog owners who do not know how to lease their dogs, let their dog excrete in common areas and in the hallways, and not pick up after them.

5. Jonathan at Belmont Station was very flexible and accommodating to our needs. We are moving down from Northern California and we needed assistance outside of regular business hours in order to make a flight back home. Jonathan was very understanding and helped get us on our way without hesitation. Thank you Jonathan. We appreciate the positive experience with a member of the Belmont Station property management team. We look forward to our upcoming residency.

   Kudos to the security guard as well (although we didn’t catch his name). He helped us gain valuable insight regarding day-to-day life at Belmont Station.
