I’ve been to this location more than a few times and it seems everytime we go to this location and get hot food that’s already made, either the employees in that section of the market are rude or not helpful. So I’m here waiting with my family like the other two people in front of me and the same employee that couldn’t help me because she said it wasn’t her job decides to serve an employee who’s on break but won’t help customers. I would’ve give 0 stars because every time I’ve been to this location it’s not the best experience. Mind you the line was more than 6 people when I decided to leave. You don’t see the other two people that were in the front in the picture. I get it being short staffed but that no reason to ignore the customers. This is a picture of the lady that said it’s not her job to work the register and the employee she served.
Cardenas Markets are my favorite hidden gem. I want to tell everyone about them but again I want to keep it to myself. LoL. We know that’s not happening. I can always count on low produce prices and plenty of stock. My 2 fave dept is the fresh tortillas of flour and of corn. Still warm. And the 2nd is the bakery. Love the bolillo rolls and of course the best Tres Leches cake around. I always have one on my birthday. Which is coming soon on September 6th. I can hardly wait to have my cake and eat it too. Staff is helpful and courteous which makes it just that much more special.
We love going there for the fresh produce and fresh tortillas they make daily. Today June 28 as we are approaching the section where they are making the tortilla. I saw the employee without glove taking the tortilla from the converter and putting it in a file of tortilla one by one pressing the tortilla down with palm of her hands. I just lost my interest in getting one batch. I don’t see her purpose of doing this. Even she wash her hands I still can’t believe what I saw. I just don’t think I will buy tortilla there again.
Be weary of the invisible cart line, not only is it dangerous because the cart gets stuck but it completely locks the wheels and there’s no warning to let you know where and how it’s implemented.
Although the experience always fair here, I forgot to use my coupons through my new app because I was busy checking out my food and forgot about it. It would be helpful if the young ladies standing near us watching us scan would remind us! If you are expecting us to do your check out and packaging is that too much to ask?
