Iâd give this place zero stars if given the opportunity. Where to beginâŠ
My family and I checked in yesterday night and asked for 2 nights. The dude at the desk said that was good and booked us for 2 nights, so we thought. We were never given a receipt nor took my Bonvoy account #. He said that the account # wasnât needed and wouldnât give me a discount.
The next day, we received a call from the front desk at 8:30 PM asking us to leave. We told the lady at the front desk that we were there for 2 nights. They couldnât move us to another room due to being sold out. We asked for a receipt, which stated we âchecked outâ at 10:36am. This is impossible as we were not at the front desk at that time. We would like you to check your security cameras to actually verify our check out time at 10:36am. Photo id will be provided upon request. No accommodations were made for their error and as a result we had to find another hotel room.
How can you possibly book someone in a room that wasnât cleaned?! And how can you falsely check someone out of their room?!?
The only thing good about this place is the lake view in the back.
We stayed here with a large group of High School students. The stage was so great at accommodating all our needs. I was very impressed that they opened a conference room for us to have breakfast so that we were able to stay on schedule and all the other guests were not negatively affected by our group. Our room was very nice and updated. Any issue we had was taken care of promptly. The view is beautiful. We did have a beach view but we did have a lake view.
We booked a king but the room they gave was already occupied (nothing quite like walking in on an occupied hotel room at 9 pmđ„Č) so we went back to the desk and told us we had to settle for a queen. The room we had was pretty nasty with the mold in the shower particularly noteworthy. The hotel is pretty far from the beach but not too awful if you are determined. I wouldnât recommend.
Wonderful stay! I especially want to thank Miss Haley for her hard work and great service. Just a short walk to the water, great pool and hot tub, great breakfast, appreciated the water bottle fill up by the gym. There was some remodeling going on but theyâre doing it right, never an inconvenience. Only stayed 2 nights, wish it was longer! The view is from our room on the backside of the hotel and still beautiful to wake up to!
I booked 2 nights with points. Points were deducted from my Marriott account. At check in I was asked for a credit card for incidentals. When I checked out, the confused desk attendant said that I owed for the room. Then she said wait no we owe you. I told her I booked with points and showed my account. She said she didnât understand why I was also being charged for the rooms after I had already paid in points. I waited for the manager to come rectify it and the desk agent apologized but of course it wasnât her fault. The manager never came despite the agent doing to get them twice. I couldnât wait anymore and said I would dispute with my credit card company (which is a Marriott card). The credit card of course refunded me after I showed that I had used my points on the room. I still have pending charge of another night on my card for some reason that hasnât posted yet. I will dispute that too because the entire stay was paid for in points. I have stayed at Marriott properties for years and had this credit card for over 20 years and NEVER had this happen. As for the roomâŠit was fine but the wifi was out, the water pressure was non existent, the exit to the stairwell on one side is rusted open and provides no security since anyone can enter without a card or a key and have access to tge entire building. The location is good and the front desk workers were nice but I am annoyed that I had to dispute the charges that never should have been made. Still waiting for the pending ones to hit so I can dispute those too.
