  1. I had a pipe leak in my front yard, near my driveway. Roto-Rooter quoted different prices depending on how much exploratory digging would be needed. I was told they may have to dig under the concrete, because the leak could be anywhere. Turns out, it was exactly where the wet spot was in my yard. I had already paid $910. I called the field supervisor and said because there was no need to explore and find the leak, the quoted price should be adjusted. They quoted me nearly $1,900 to fix a broken pipe. He assured me that he would call and get it adjusted for me.

This broken pipe was a simple dig and fix, and it turned out to be a five-hour ordeal. The glue had water in it and would not hold. The plumber had to buy new glue at Home Depot. Also, the tool used to check the water pressure wasn’t working. The plumber who came out was not at fault, he was working with faulty material. I appreciate his hard work despite the frustrations of the issues he had.

Unfortunately, Mike Duckworth, the man in charge, refused to adjust the quoted price. They want nearly $2,000 to dig a hole, fix a broken pipe with glue (that didn’t even work!) and fill the hole back.

Please consider going with a different company if you have any leaking pipes in your yard. I DO NOT recommend Roto Rooter who has faulty glue, broken equipment, and no care for the customer.

I don’t want someone else to be taken advantage of.

Also, the reply is an automatic response and it means nothing. I have talked to Mike Duckworth and he isn’t someone who works for the customer. PLEASE avoid this company, unless you like to pay extraordinary prices for simple jobs.

  2. Came out on a Saturday and ‘fixed’ the leak that flooded my basement only to have it flood a day later. They came out again no repair was done. They have charged us for something that is not the fix, later found out through a plumber friend the filler valve was failing and the overflow hose was too high causing the water to run out the handle of the toilet. Now, I understand mistakes happen so we contacted Jennifer from RR in customer service, told her what happened with misdiagnosis and has refused to give us a refund on repairs that did not fix our issue. Not only that, has now stoped answering us through phone calls or emails. Their customer service has not been great at this point. This has cost us money we do not have to spend on replacing subfloor we almost had Dry. Also I know you will read this DO NOT send your claims guys to my house will not be using you for anything. They are quick to tell you to file a claim before even looking at your issue. Just wanting to waste your time and money. SERVE PRO is the way to go,helped me more than they ever did!

  3. The plumber was phenomenal and very knowledgeable. However the service from the water restoration team was unprofessional and they were dishonest about what services were offered and even cut a hole in my ceiling. This left me with an additional expense which had NOTHING to do with my issue. Never again will I use them or recommend them to anyone.

  4. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!!
Quoted me 2k. billing informs me of a 6k bill on my account. I asked the manager Mike chrysa about it. he informed me that yes I was being billed over the estimate I signed. That he would look into it. 3 months later. He tells me the bills correct and I have to pay. Proceeded to threaten me with legal. Horrible horrible shady business practices.

    Update-4/13
Pat your telling me in the email you just sent me. Your backing the manager. That you will “discount” the bill so that it meets the estimated amount I signed for. No, I didn’t approve any change orders. That total amount is outside the contracts estimated amount.

I want to pay the amount we agreed to upfront.2k.
