Pros- All the electronics, appliances, and phones one could look (except for the top tier audio/video equipment). Good return policy and extended warranty programs.
Cons- As someone who would own my own music, game, or video, removing the items from the store is just plain stupid. Streaming is great for business, not so great when much of your electronics business relies on PHYSICAL copies.
Purchased an open box dishwasher in store. They wrapped it up and since they donât deliver open box I paid a third party to install for me. Dishwasher got an error about drainage and I called customer care. Was given wrong information through customer service saying I could exchange for same dishwasher in store. Went in store with dishwasher was told that information was incorrect and that I could have LG come and take a look since itâs under warranty. Called LG and they sent someone out. Turns out Best Buy didnât check the product before selling it and someone had stuffed paper deep in the hose and it was clogged. Was told that the device and hose had been checked before they wrapped it up which it clearly wasnât. Between having to have it un-installed, reinstalled and LG coming out I ended up paying an extra $350 because the in-store employees did not do their job correctly by checking the device before selling it, contacted customer service and even though they admit fault they will not fully own up to their mistake. Would give 0 stars if I could.
**UPDATE** Best Buy customer service blamed me for not checking the product myself (something I had no idea should even be done or how to do it) and then refused to get a manager when I asked for one.
Went in and spoke with an âagent Sanchezâ (who declined to give her first name) on 07/21/24.
I explained to her that my Bluetooth earbuds were failing and as it had been under 12 months I should be under warranty.
Well she looked and looked, running all my numbers and cards but lo and behold, couldnât find my purchase. This must mean they were fraudulently purchased and this needed to be disputed with my financial institution.
I whole heartily believe that consumer protection is the lifeblood of any company. Making sure you have irreproachable integrity is such a missing part of our society these days.
Iâd like to thank agent Sanchez for her help in this and her advice to me.
Remember, if best buy cannot find your purchase then always dispute with your financial installation because this must mean it was a fraudulent purchase. I appreciate best buy instructing itâs managers to give us this advice as this means theyâre truly protecting their customers.

Someone tried to use 2 of my credit cards at Best Buy Visalia on 5/16 at around 730. When I called to ask about possible videos the woman I spoke to was very snotty and unhelpful. She said the manager wasnât taking calls. I finally got someone by calling the corporate headquarters who said he would request Asset Protection to call me. Nothing so far. Also when I went to look at stereo systems no one wanted to hook any up so I could listen.
Not connected to antennas and no one would let me use a CD. I came back with my own which was a 30 mile trip. No one actually wanted to help me choose a system. This store is toast to me.
Donât expect them to have stock of the item you want, even if the Best Buy app and the store shows stock available. I was ready to spend $850 here but left empty handed. Employee claimed the inventory showing in the system was for a different model of computer. No apology offered.
This is why people use Amazon.
