I had the pleasure of visiting the East Village store 12/5/23. What a sweet and pleasant surprise to see how accommodating this employer was to a new mom. At first glance, her front pack was invisible, completely blending into her black shirt. From the side view, her precious infant’s face was partly visible, contentedly sleeping and snuggling mom during the work shift. It was a very touching thing to see and made me smile the rest of the day. 🥰
I remember how grueling it was in 1998, juggling daycare drop-offs and pick-ups, breastfeeding and pumping, while still trying to find enough energy to actually do my job at the office. Kudos to this EV store! It was incredibly uplifting to see some progress has been made in this regard over the last 25 years.

Best price for cereal. The personal pie sweets are to die for. Fruit is good will last in fridge for like a month keep fruit separated from other food to preserve longer. Banana walnut muffins were good.
It is a depressing dirty place and the products are of poor quality. I do not recommend it at all. Gentlemen, you are in a good place. Put love and attention into your business, more light, better quality in your products and cleanliness. I hope they realize that they have an excellent employee. I don’t remember his name but he has Asian features. He is a cashier. He could help to spread his energy to the other employees.
I’ve been shopping here for years. Its selection leaves something to be desired at times but you literally cannot beat the prices for the downtown area. The staff is also quite friendly and happy to point you in the right direction if you’re not seeing something.
They also offer a military discount which is quite helpful when you’re trying to save a little extra money.
It has a lot of good deals. But it has few cashiers and lots of people shopping. The homeless camp outside a lot or hang out outside doing drugs. The employees are really nice
